DCIS no calcifcations

I noticed most posts on here talk about calcifications. On my report it says calcifications are absent, but  necrosis is present. is that normal? Im still getting used too all these terms

    DCIS usually presents as calcifications rather than a defined lump.  But not always.  Did you have a defined lump?  I think that happens in about 10% of cases.  

    BC.org has a good explanation of DCIS.  Here's what they say about necrosis: "When cancer cells grow quickly, some cells don't get enough nourishment. These starved cells can die off, leaving areas of necrosis."

    Well the radiologist and my Dr felt a small movable area. They explained that a cancer lump would not move and thought it was just my dense tissue. My own self exam I didnt feel anything ball shaped. (my idea of a lump)..and they said the cells were small and growing slowly. hmm.
