Oops, 57 when recurrence occurred. Chemo brain!?

Hello Times 3:
Thanks for your humor. I needed it after meeting with my radiologist yesterday, for the first time. He ordered a PET scan before I move forward with radiation treatment. 6/18 nodes are positive for adenocarcinoma. The pathology report states, metasis adenocarcinoma. So I just completed chemotherapy, six treatments to shrink a tumor 7.0 down to 2.3 and surgery, a lumpectomy. I thought I had won the war, only to find out it was the first battle I'd won.
To answer your question. I had my first mammogram at age 48. It was fine. At age 51 the xray found a suspicious mass. I had the biopsy, again, joy, no cancer. Until 18 months later, I had a massive 7.0 tumor in my breast. I checked my breasts regularly. Mammograms, biopsies, all wrong. None the less, I hope the mammograms help some people.
Peace, Patty

66 - mets a few months ago
I started reading at page one - far to many young women. There was the young girl age 10 I think that was diagnosed and have heard of some at age 18. So many are ER/PR positive and in looking at the development of my own step granddaughters starting at age 10 the breast development was unreal. Is it the extra hormones we are getting in our food? I can't help but wonder.
