Bone scans/xrays before staging or after treatment?

Hello,

My question is for all the ladies outside of Canada who are diagnosed with BC. Does the oncologist make it mandatory to have bone scans, x- rays, ultrasounds etc...in order to inform you of your bc stage. I have read that in the U.S they will not give you these tests unless you have syptoms for over two weeks. I am unclear if this is before giving you your BC stage or after treatment (chemo/rads)

    Hello.....i don't know about mandatory but i had all the tests you mentioned after my lumpectomy.

    I think what you are thinking is waiting 2 weeks once you are done with your treatment and everything if you have any symptoms.let'say year later..
