Hey y'all. My internet was out. After resetting the modem about 10 times it finally worked.
Spent today relaxing, didn't cook (too many leftovers) and played some board games with my daughter.
I think we are going canoeing tomorrow, then we are headed up to Jacksonville for a couple of days.
Hope you all are having a good week.
-
grannydukes - glad your friend is doing a little better - I will be thinking of her - so hard to spend the holidays in the hospital.
My Christmas starts tomorrow when DS the fireman comes home from Virginia. I am going to make him take me to get my Herceptin on Thurs so i can have some quality mother-son bonding time while I sit for 90 minutes! All of our presents are still under the tree! Weird, huh?
Shelley - yay for the good mammo/US - so great! Now that I will not be having them anymore I have to remember to go in annually for the other part of the well-woman check!!! Thankfully my primary care ordered a bi-lat US with my mammo a little over a year ago - otherwise this might not have been a happy holiday!
-
I will have been taking Arimidex a year on January 3rd...and I am looking at it the exact same way...1 down...4 to go. Side effects have included tendonitis twice in the last 3 months in left wrist but thankfully a cortisone shot makes it all disappear. Blood pressure has all of a sudden gone crazy...been taking meds for years and totally controlled...now has jumped sky high so doc putting me on another medication. Weight gain has been very annoying but still going to the gym and trying to keep it down but losing seems to be a losing battle. But...with all that said...feel pretty good...DIEP foob looks fabulous...and everything else is going well.
-
Hi JannoD, welcome!
I am thinking about DIEP and wondered how many surgeries you had. You obviously are happy with the results. How would you compare the surgery recovery to the MX? I have heard about some not so good results and wonder if it is worth the pain/recovery time of additional surgeries.
Thanks,
Shelley

Hey girls,
I'm back from a few days in Jacksonville. Visited some good friends from when we used to live there and had a great time. Ate way too much and feel like a stuffed sausage. Time to get back on the wagon!
Hope you all have had happy holidays. I thought I would post you this picture of my church bell choir. We had 3 awesome performances over the holidays. Is anyone else a ding-a-ling?
I'm just right of center under the good looking boy with the big hand bells. That is my son.
