Lump on implant

Options

Anyone have a hard, rubbery-like bump on their post reconstruction silicone implant? It's not attached to skin...would it be if it was related to BC? It's not along my scar either...

I do.  I had a mammo, ultrasound and mri.  All showed nothing.  I haven't talked to the Dr so I have no idea what it is.  I'm guessing scar tissue or fat necrosis.  Hoping it's nothing for you.

Thanks for replies, my plastic surgeon says it's nothing, but what is it??mom3 what does yours feel like? Does it hurt?

It doesn't hurt....but my chest is numb!  I guess it's like a hard piece of rice.   It's been there since mid Oct.  I don't like that I don't know what it is but since my mri came out clear I know it's 'nothing'.  I do have a follow up with my bs in March so I will ask her what it is.  I have had a terrible time getting my questions answered about this and will be switching Dr's after this next appt.  Does your Dr want to do any testing?

If it is not attached to the skin it isn't likely anything from what I know. Is it on a side that was radiated? If so, your skin and tissue on that side is much "thinner" and will allow you to feel imperfections in the implant much easier. That's how I understand it all anyway. Hope this helps.
