Happy Holidays to all here!

I am almost a 12 year thriver, very blessed indeed

and also have a birthday December end

The holiday season seems to have arrived so quickly this year

Both my parents passed on not long ago and it does

seem odd indeed, not going to the Nursing Home anymore

Our lives move forward, and each day is a blessing!

Be well everyone, wherever you are on your journey

Sierra :)

I would like to add that at the Breast Cancer Support Clubs on line

many friends have I met in person, and by phone, some who have passed on

I am now in contact with their families.  This has been a wonderful part of the journey for me.

Awesome, 12 years, Sierra!! I'm coming up on 10 (for my first one, anyway!)

Yes, we can thrive, move forward--yet we keep our ties to BCO.

    Here's hoping for another decade!

    Happy Holidays to all!

Sierra, I'm also a 12 year survivor.  What follow-up do you still get?

I was still seeing my oncologist every 6 months and have now moved from the U.S. to Canada, and here they don't seem to think I need follow-up which scares me.

    12 year! YAY

THRIVE!  Good word.  You are an inspiration.

How sad that we now measure our lives by how long we have suvived.  I'd like to say I am a 29 year survivor!!! (My oldest son is 29 y/o and being a MOTHER is the most important and difficult challenge I have faced in life.  Cancer is just a bump along the way)

Dr trying to talk me into all that for my invasive ductal carcinoma and I read up on it in the oncology magazines and they say it really helps the bc patient survive so I would like to do it but so scared of side effects and dont want a port...anyone you know of got oral chem?
