Yes, we all "know" Dr. C. He is the leading expert on IBC. You are in good hands! Best of luck to you! Hugs.

Hi Meena,
I saw Dr. C for a consultation back in June and I liked him very much. If my insurance covered it, I would probably go out to see him more often! I'm currently following a plan set up by him that involved Xeloda during radiation, Zometa and I'll be continuing on the Xeloda after I heal from radiation.
I went to see him after thinking my local onc was not being aggressive enough and am content with my new plan of action, and I'm doing well.

Thank you ladies! I will be seeing Dr C again on September. Pet scan tomorrow and MRIs on Monday.

My 34 yr old daughter with stage iv IBC just came back from a second opinion with Dr. C. Her assessment is that he is wonderful and that if fox chase would accept her state insurance, she would drive the 6 hrs for treatment with him without a second thought. He stated she needed much more aggressive treatment than what she is receiving at dana farber. We are currently trying to set up a new oncologist closer to home that will work in consult with Dr. C. You are very fortunate to be able to have him treat you.

I too am being seen at Dana Farber/Faulkner. I am in my first round of chemo with surgery scheduled for Feb. I have stage 3 B IBC. I am alwyas thinking that I should get a second opinion, but I am at Dana Farbeer and don't they know everything? Perhaps not. If yiu don't mind what treatment has your daughter had and what are they recommending.
I wish your daughter the best on her journey.
Thanks
Nel

I've heard that Dr. C is the best with ibc. I'm on the west coast and found a wonderful onc here. You are in good hands.
