Solution to low-cut clothing

Options

I haven't been on the boards in quite some time - I had a uni-lateral mastectomy in June/10.

I own a lot of clothing where the cut is a little low.  I had seen on TV something called "Cami Secret", which is fabric  with lace border, which attaches to your bra straps with domes (3 sets of domes, for different types of bra straps).  Each pkg. has 3 - one black, one white, one beige - and are adjustable for whatever neckline you have.  There are other colours available, but these are the basics.

I bought a pkg. at a local "As Seen On TV" store here in Toronto for $14.99 Cdn.  I am SO happy  with them - they are definitely the solution to covering a little more to hide the fact that you are wearing a prosthetic.  I highly recommend them to all of us who opted out of reconstruction.

It is a whole lot cheaper to buy these than to replace all your blouses and tanks.

Marm ~ Thanks so much for posting about this.  I've wondered how well the Cami Secret actually works; I think I'll buy some now!  Thanks again!

There was another company that made really cute modesty panels. I've been wracking my brain and searching this site but can't remember the name and can't find a reference. If anyone else recalls it, please post. I never ordered from them, but was tempted. They were inexpensive and came in a variety of styles and colors.

I saw these same ones 3 pack, at my local Bed Bath and Beyond in California.  I didn't buy but now may go take a second look.  Thanks!

I saw these at I think the local Bartell's. I like the ones with snaps to wrap around your bra straps better than the ones you have to tie around the bra straps. The latter have itchy lace, too. The snap-arounds don't work too well on bras with wide straps though, but have softer material.

Thanks! I just had a bmx and never realized most of my shirts are low cut. Although they didn't show cleavage, they certainly show my scars when I am sitting around the house with out my foobs. Maybe I could permanently sew some of these on my around the house shirts. Either that or go shopping, which I have noticed it is hard to find shirts that are higher. I may resort to wearing plain old mens t shirts.
