SABCS: Gene Test Predicts DCIS Recurrence Risk

I have read a lot abou t how a big percentage of women with a DCIS dx do not need to have radiation.  When I saw, first on tv, and then on line, about this Oncotype DX test, I got pretty excited that it could now be distinguished between who needed and who didnot need radiation.  My RO asked the MO to order the test for me.  The last I heard the order had been sent to path. who will send biopsy tissue to Genomics for testing.  I am hoping this was the right thing to do.  I guess we just don't have any promises with any decisions we make when dealing with bc.
