Hi all, I am happy to hear all the good results.... I wish I kept up with it all, I kinda fell off the planet and been dealing with pain and anxiety... I should have asked for you girls to jump in my pocket... Everything is "looking" good, just lots of scar tissue and nerve damage.... and then the "AI" juggle... after trying 3 with bad side effects the ONC has me on hold until Feb... I have my first Mammogram late January then have another appt with the ONC and Surgeon to go over the findings...
I need encouragement.. I'm having to work 2 jobs (one is good paying, no insurance and the other is parttime - with a label of "insurance") Just keeps me off the "lapse of insurance" thing... I so want to quit the second job - I am so tired - working between 40-46 hours a week. These 2 jobs and the Lord have kept a roof over our heads but not sure how long I can keep this up...
-

I stopped listening after "maybe a biopsy", and started crying. My primary is so wonderful, she's gonna hold my hand and read the report for me tomorrow. Like you said, Sagina, Ceeztheday and Jo, the burns do heal quickly. There were 2 or 3 days of getting worse, but now after 6 days the skin is almost as new ... well, no, but I can touch it and wash it with water and lie on my back without strategically placed cushions and without a bra.
Congrats to Merilee and everyone with good and boring results
-
Ok ladies, I have now been referred to a pain management doctor... Waiting to see if he (the only one in town) will help me... Being my insurance is maxed until April, there is a chance he won't accept me as a patient... Maybe if I just come here for encouragement, I won't have to go to him anyway LOL....
Yes, Mandalala, my breast looked horrible the week after to the point of taking pictures everyday so I could see the progress of healing... and it did get better.... Use the creams they gave you and things will get better - on the outside
I am 5 months post rads and I gave up trying to find a bra that didn't hurt - I just wear Shelf-bra tank tops...
