Garlic
Someone told me to eat raw garlic recently. So I tried it after my last chemo (taxotere). In the morning, I fry a piece of whole grain bread in olive oil, then top it with sliced, raw garlic and a sliced tomato or avocado.
With the previous 3 taxotere treatments I had horrible stomach problems, as in diarrhea that lasted for 10 days or so. This time, my stomach has held steady so far. I don't know if it is the garlic, but thought I would pass it on, in case it would help someone else.

I have been eating raw garlic since being diagnosed with DCIS. It is said to be anti-bacterial and anti-viral. I didn't want to get sick during the journey - including double lumpectomies. I find it very helpful in this way but have read it is also helpful in many ways. I have read that crushing it and letting it sit for 10 minutes allows the allicin (the most helpful element in it) to completely develop. I mix it with cottage cheese as I also read that dairy reduces the bad-breath effect, and it does! Read more about it as there is lots out there, including the hint that after letting crushed garlic sit, lightly sauteeing it does not reduce the effects.

I use a lot of garlic -- crushed garlic in a little olive oil over green veggies (broccoli, rapini, string beans etc.) and in my homemade salad dressing.
However, on the advice of my sister (12 years my senior and a 16-year survivor of ovarian cancer) I take an aged garlic capsule every day (500 mgs). I was able to bring my LDL cholesterol way down to normal range, and I haven't had any colds, flu or other illnesses (besides BC) in almost 8 years. And when I was on chemo, no infections.
I also eat a lot of onions -- my favourite veggie! And I still have friends LOL!

Thanks, Lindasa. I will add the aged garlic to my new regime of anti-cancer, anti-etrogen, stay healthy supplements. Do you recommend a brand?

I use the Kyolic brand formula 104. Made in Mission Viejo, CA by Wakunaga of America Co. Ltd. This formula has lecithin and is marketed as cholesterol control.
