I am so sorry, the beginning is a scary place to be.  It will get better, I am over a year out now and doing well.  I know you want it out but if they are able to shrink the tumor before surgery then it helps them get clean margins during surgery.  If they don't get clean margins then they have to go back in also, you stand a chance of leaving stray cancer cells behind.  The dr is doing what they have showed to work best with your type of cancer.   I did the samething...chemo then surgery and it worked for me.

I am sorry that you have cancer.

Please know that the treatment you are having is used for very large tumors - first do chemo to shrink the tumor and then do surgery and then sometimes - depending on the pathology of the tumor chemo again to take care of any possible cancer cells that may be left.

The results of the surgery are much better if you have the chemo first to shrink the tumor.  I know you want the cancer out right now - but it is better to have the surgery done after chemo.  It sounds like your doctor is following the right course of treatment for your tumo
