What happens when you run out of money?

My short term disability in RI which is a state disability will end Jan 1st.which I have been on for 6 months and then I guess I will be on unemployment. I do not have any savings. I am trying to find a job but I don't think that I will be able to pay the rent while I am looking. I have been on short term disability but now I am very afraid, as I live in a cabin which is part of a big house and I use logs for heat . What do you do when you run out of money? I will have no source of income. I am very afraid. Unless I find a job. I had 2 interviews this week

Do you qualify for Social Security Disability? Have you applied?

You will probably need a letter from your doctor stating you are able to work (with or without restrictions). Check out your state website for rules.
