I wanted to see if anyone was using this anti-oxident in their supplementation regime. I've heard of this from Dr. Perricone and Dr. Mercola sites, and am interested in the anti-oxident benefits of this supplement. I haven't tried it yet, but wanted to see if there were any ladies who had tried it.

Apart from the anti-oxident properties, it apparently gives muscles and tendons strength capacity, as well as helps the skin and eyes enormously (so I've heard).

Would love to hear your thoughts on it.

I have been taking this as part of my eye protection for about six months, since I have macular degeneration.  My boyfriend has MS and he is taking it to keep inflammation down in his body.

I've heard nothing but good things about it, and Dr. Oz had Mercola on his tv program talking about it, so it is getting attention in the media.

I take it and I think it helps in gaining and maintaining muscle.  I feel stronger after about 6 weeks on astaxanthin.   I take 4 to 8 mgs. a day.

I take it too. I think it helped get rid of some of the pain after chemo.

I have lots of non-melanoma skin cancers and actinic ketatoses, and astaxanthin has eliminated the easier ones.  It really assists the immune system.
