Thank you Rock. Funny, those are a lot of the things I've been craving. I've had one chemo (T/AC on 12/6). I would like to hear from those farther along. I realize everyone is different, but I would like to have an idea of whether my first reaction to chemo and shot (two days later to increase blood cell count) will simply repeat, or if side effects worsen as you go along. I felt worse after the shot than the actual chemo treatment, but I understand it takes a while to get into your system. I will have six cycles every three weeks, then radiation. Anyone care to share. My greatest issue right now is the UNKNOWN. I hate not knowing what is going to happen. Will I have energy or fall into a black hole of fatigue at any moment?

Zgirl, Come join us on the November chemo thread. We'd love to have you. Someone will probably be on the same regimen as you are.

what is it with typing and cyberspace????? yesterday i typed away and it is gone!
ok- so----i appreciate all of the wonderful advice here from everyone! awesome to get help ahead of time and understand that each of us is diff and each will respond diff to things- that said!
shopping for chemo SE can be a bit pricey...this week i picked up the biotene toothpaste, spray and rinse, some soft toothbrushes (i actually got a tinkerbelle kids one for fun! shorter handle fits in makeup bag better dontchaknow!), artificial tears, exlax, claritin, chapstick, thermometer and sleeves, cute pink soft footies(don't ask!) a Remington Ready Shave Go battery operated shaver and batteries, some lemon ginger tea bags (sounded tummy soothing!),wyler's sugar free pink lemonade to go packs for a water bottle (i have to do sugar free due to gastric bypass), some protein bars, purell, some word searches...a wonderful 3 ring binder which lead me to the scrapbook store for some pretty paper to decorate the slip in cover....a nice sized calendar which i am going to hole punch to put in the binder.......cornstarch baby powder, a new shower curtain liner .....and cuz i am packing all of this up to move before starting tx, some hot pink duck tape!
the 3 ring binder will stay out as i need to get copies of my patholoy before we move....and my lilst of questions, etc!!!!!!!!!!!!
but i'm trying to have fun with this! i guess if i have to go thru it i want it t o be organized and as comfy as possible! i have a nice tote bag given to me at Lemmen-Holton Cancer Center (Grand Rapids MI) where i had last biopsy-it will hold my special blankie and my goodies for tx days.
so-thank you all for your great suggestions!
gonna try to hit submit again!

Your list totally amazes me, I wanted to know what to do. I got a call to day, have go for 3 biopsies this week. Came on here to see what to expect, doctor talked about surgery next week. I haven't told my family about the phone call, only a girl friend.
