When did "ducT" tape become "ducK" tape?? Did I miss the memo????
-
barbe- would you believe there is a brand name of ducT tape called DucK Tape?? To confuse even more people!!
-
I've seen it Claire, just more to confuse the kidlets trying to learn how to spell. Want a donut??? What happened to doughnut? Too long for a sign???
-
They probably had to pay by the letter!!
-
Oh Barbe I've got a million of those!!
Chickmunks. But-though. Flazy. IDK. TTYL. Don't you?
So today...my goal...is to not piss anyone off. I'm not sure its realistic but here goes! -
Ok Barbe, no spelling checks!
Fuzzy, be good at work today, stick with your goal, if you don't behave I will need to tape your mouth with the ducK tape. Just kidding.
-
LOL!!!! So far so Good but...I haven't seen anyone yet!
-
I'm cranky.
Sorry.
-
You're cranky?? Oh Sheila...I'm so sorry...
Oh dear...I have that 80's song in my head now...oh Sheila....you must know it, right? -
that was a great song.
Cranky is ok in the romp room. Hope fuzzy has stayed out of trouble today.
-
I don't remember the song.
Hi Christine
I tried to change my screen name because when i googled it....OMG this name with the 8's doesn't have a good reputation
-
Christine...great point!! Ya know, cranky is friggin' perfect in this set up!!
Today went pretty well!! Oh, except I'm getting a little irritated with my youngest. She's going to be cranky tonight...I love her with all my heart...but drinking and having a license at 17 is not ok...and there's more but it makes me want to put her in the chasity room....LOL! Do we have one of those?? -
Fuzzy my daughters are adult now. 31 & 34 but I was there and it took 18 months until the crisis was over. Can't even say drinking........ it was everything.
-
I've felt like I was super careful with her and my diagnosis...never really interfered with her life to help out...actually, kinda thought it was better for her to be social and not "watch me" on my trip through hell via a malfunctioning GPS....
So, she's on a curfew, taking care of some cleaning and will earn "minutes" toward her curfew when she returns to being responsible...
What did you do? Any advice? -
My DD's crisis had nothing to do with my DX. She just went thru the regular teenager stuff.
It started when she was about 15. Tried every possible punishment but unfortunately nothing worked. When she was starting 10th grade she came out from it. It was a miracle.
I even invited my ex to the house to talk to her. She was driving him crazy too on the weekends.
LOL...One weekend he actually brought her back home because she wasn't listening to him. Now I laugh but it was terrible then.
They will recover from it. She graduated College on Dean List works hard very respectful and hard working.
There is a light at the end of the tunnel...........Good Luck.
How is she doing at school?
-
-
I hear you Fuzzy! As a parent of a 16.5 y.o. I get it!!! I hate it all but Sheila keep telling me there is a light at the end of the tunnel. I'm looking for the light!
Good night!
-
Oh sleeping is just not working out....
She gets great grades...all A's, tough courses. Just very disrespectful to all of us this year. She's an angel...really...its just a "phase"...but it seems wrong to not do anything, ya know?
If something happened to my babies...I'd lose it. I was very, very naughty and kept a pretty rough lifestyle for way too long and if shed be honest and respectful, I'd have no problem. In June she said we don't belong in her world...I beg to differ; ) -
Jess and I talked and it was wonderful! It was the right time and the right words. I love her smile!
I had some funky thing show up in my mouth. Thought it was...C....but, thankfully its not! Just having SE's from treatment.
Spent the day with my mom. That was so awesome!!!
How are you guys doing?? -
Hi fuzzy, Glad you had a great day with DD and mom. I am having my usual Sunday night funk, hate that it is off to work tomorrow, and did not get enough done over the weekend. Can the romp room give me a note to stay home tomorrow??
-
Hell ya!! They can FAX it in for ya!!
Have you had a "normal day"? Like, no medicine head, mood swing, ate good, felt goo..this may have been my first. LOVED IT!!!!
and then...work in the morn... -
Sounds like you had a great day. I'm so happy for you!
Romp around my friends!
-
I really did!!!
Lets cut some Romp Room Rug!!! Did we hang a disco light? -
-
Love that!!!! Good news... me and my youngest worked It out!! So happy happy!
Then...work stood up and smacked me in the head. I'm not sure about all this craziness. Kinda feel like I just can't win.
But, my baby puppy doesn't care about that crap and is just happy I'm here. Strange how comforting that little Guy is.
Both baby girls will be home on their break...another great great thing!
Any plans for Christmas? -
That's awesome Fuzzy!!! SO glad to hear everything worked out.
I'm having Christmas Eve here with DHs family, love them! And will go to my parents on CHristmas. Lots of crazy Italians eating and yelling at each other!
-
Oh my my!!! I LOVE Italians!! No wonder I admire you so!!!! I am not...but I was raised in the presence!!!
That would be an awesome way to spend Christmas! -
lol!! It is fun!!
-
I'm sitting at the hospital, my mama is here and fighting another fight. My heart just aches with everything she's been through. I saw my shrink today...focusing on breathing and reducing stress. Kinda funny that I saw her when I did...just after a quickly scheduled radiation oncologist visit and a bad day at work...she Could "feel" my tension.
So, MRI at the end of this month. I've got weird shtuff going on with my arm...
Blah blah blah.
I'm kinda waiting for snow...just seems weird that its been such a mild December. Yup...trying to think about something else... -
