Annette ya betta show up here!!!!!!
-
Janno, great to hear about the wedding and the one year... congrads.
SpecialK - I figure that's all we have one day after the next and the next.... hey, may as well make the most of it. Today after work, I make some new fangled chili for lunches and wrapped some Christmas gifts. Can't wait to try the chili tomorrow, it should be a new experience!
-
samsue - you are so correct - a day at a time is all we get! One of my husband's co-workers lost his 52 year-old wife suddenly over Thanksgiving weekend from a hypertension induced event. So sad and shocking. We better live it like we mean it! Hope your chili is awesome - give us a report tomorrow!
-
SpecialK the chili was awesome... I think because I let it cook for quite a while (while I wrapped gifts). I used lentils and ground chicken/chicken sausage.
Sorry to hear about your DH co-worker's wife. Two very good friends of mine were gone before they were in their mid 50's.... and my mom also. I remember that I've have more day's then they had so I had better use them with gusto ~ don't get me wrong, some are harder to get thru than others... but I try to remember what a gift I have been given.
-
Welcome Twoputter and JannoD! Janno, I think we have a new movie "3 Surgeries and a Wedding", do you think anyone would come see it? NOT
I'm so behind on the threads, had three concerts and a long dress rehearsal in the last two days, whew! Now a long break until January.
Amy Jo, glad you are back, and that your revisions went well. Prayers for a pain free recovery so you can sew, sew, sew!
(((Everyone else)))
-
samsue - the chili sound yummy and healthy! I know what you mean about your appreciation for each day. I have a good friend who had BC 10 years ago. She was diagnosed with uterine CA just before I was with BC, she has now gone to stage IV. She has been so supportive to me and has been worried that her new stage is going to scare me. I lost my only sibling in '08 very suddenly to bile duct cancer - he only had 60 days from the time he was diagnosed. He was 55 - same age I am now. It is tough, but you are correct - each day is a gift!
-

(((Barbara)))
I had terrible rib pain one time and thought for sure I had a broken rib. I had been sick with bronchitis for at least a month and it turned to be inflamed rib cartilage from the coughing. I can't remember what it was called, but it was really painful. They gave me a shot of antibiotics and prednisone to reduce the inflammation. That got me on the mend.
XOXOX
-
(((((Barbara)))) We're with ya! Hoping it turns out O.K. And speaking of rib pain, I have developed a sore spot on my ribs, just below and to the right, of my "bad boob". It feels sorta like a bruise, but if I raise my arm up suddenly, it's a searing pain. I had a mammo about a week ago, and wondered if it's a bruise from leaning on the edge of the plate. I'm giving it one more week, and if it's still there and not better, I'm calling my MO. In the meantime, I need to stop my mind from thinking it's something more sinister. Think positive, right?
(((hugs)))

Thanks everyone. I just got back home after having the tracer injected. Have to wait 2-3 hours for it to settle in. Then back for the scan.
-
I'm in your pocket Barbara. I am praying for the all clear
-
OK. I told the tech I would be worried sick all weekend and he said he would lose his job. I asked him to just give me a hint. When the camera scanned my ribs he said, 'Looking good.' Then when I was done, I asked him if I would have a great weekend or a nice one. He said great!! WOO HOO!!
-
barbaraA - yay!!!
-
Great news BarbaraA! Happy dance time!
-
Thanx pals!

hi all...first off YEAH BARBARA! Best news on the planet:) As for me, as I posted on the other thread...just been a really really rough patch for me emotionally....swirled right by my one year date fine....but i just am so sad...like a patchof black ice and i am still sliding...i will et on the other side of this but i just hate logging on and whining when so many have so many worse things to deal with....healthwise ok as I said above0docs all cleared me for six months- but the damn retouch on my nips tattoo got infected NOW THAT WAS FUN....but all clear now and I am just leaving the damn things alone....i tend to isolate when reallydown...what I really have to do is pull up my big girl panties and move forward but for some reason it is just taking me a bit longer to do so...older son got off track and now hoefully will be ok...hubby and I are still not anywhere that I recognize.....it just all makes me feel sad...like i got breast cancer and my whole life went poof- i know that is not the case just seems that way....anyway...thank you all for being so caring and I will try not to stay away from the best group of women i have ever encountered....your words mean much....here is a big fat hug to all:)
-
Oh ((((Annette)))). You know we all have our bad times, and don't we come here to vent? Yes, ma'am. And when it rains, it pours, as they say, all the crap that happens, does it have to happen all at once?? That's what I keep wondering. It sounds like you are doing better now, though. Ow, infected tattoo? Does not sound fun at all. At least you got good reports from the docs! That's great news!
It's so good to see you here, Annette. Keep checking in. If you need some good laughs, check out the "My First Ambien" and "Let's take a poll and see how we got BC". They are pretty funny. Hopefully a couple of good laughs will make you feel better. Cyberhugs!
Shelley
