    Nicki you are free from all you've endured in the past few years.  I know you are celebrating CY's birthday with her and catching up with all our wonderful friends who have left before you.

    Nicki:  As many have said, selfishly I want you to still be here with us - but knowing now that you are out of pain and in the arms of the Lord - makes me happy for you!!!  You have been so strong and funny and sweet and it is going to be hard missing  those daily postings on FB . . . about life,   "daBears" and just anything and everything at all.  God's sweet rest, my friend.  I love you, Nicki and will miss you.  Peace to Terry.

    Nicki - hope wherever you are you are riding a horse like a Warrior Princess as you drink a glass of Pinot while listening to Sir Paul sing your favorite tunes.

    When AlaskaDeb died, a lot of us sent a single pink rose to her funeral.  It was our way of recognizing her impact on all of us, celebrating her life, and offering support to her family.

    Shall we do the same for Nicki and her family?

    Does anyone know of funeral arrangements?

    I haven't heard anything.  One of the girls in our group is in touch with Nicki's SIL.  If we hear anything will keep you posted.

    I still can't believe she's gone.  Keep thinking of her getting ready for football.

    DaBears just aren't the same without Nicki. 

    I haven't heard of any service for her.  I do have her SIL's address.  If you want it, just PM me.

    Dear sweet Nicki....I hope you know how much you were loved...and how much you will be missed.....I'll never be able to look at a sunflower without thinking of you...my condolences to your family...may your RIP.

    Ann .. thanks for posting the info about Nicki's service.  I wish I was closer to Chicago.  I'm hoping the Chaplain can go and represent us.

    I miss her so much.  Still can't really wrap my head around the fact that she is gone.

    Ann...as Bren said...thanks for posting the info on the service...wish I could attend, but my thoughts will be with the family on Wednesday night...I saw on fb, that her SIL Peggy is printing off all the comments on fb to put in a book for people to read at the service....Bren...I agree...its hard to believe that Nicki is no longer with us...I miss seeing her posts...she was a truly special person....

    Lisa, the rose is absolutely beautiful.  Thank you ! 

     Like so many of you, as the evening approaches my thoughts are constantly of Nicki. How I would love to see a post from her - making us smile, encouraging us on difficult days, her stories of her walks along the lake shore, her swims in her pool in the hot summer evenings. 

    I miss you Nicki.  Thankful you are free of pain and the troubles of this world but miss you my friend.

    when I left work at 3:45 this afternoon....my first thought was it was in the middle of Nicki's memorial service (Denver is one hour earlier than Chicago).....I'm going to plant sunflowers again this coming summer....did a year ago, but not this past summer....but it will be a way to see Nicki every day!!!

    Did anyone attend Nicki's service last night?  I wish someone was able to go .. I would really like to know how the service went.   I couldn't stop thinking about Nicki last night.  I'm sure it was a beautiful service.  We sent a dozen pink roses .. I hope she liked them.

    I am almost afraid to post this but I have to.

    CoolBreeze (Ann) needs all the good thoughts we can give her right now.

    I went outside to work in the yard after finding out that she is having a very difficult time. 

    Looking to the West I said out loud ... 

    Ann, can you feel me thinking about you?  Ann, please fight like hell!!
