Thought I'd let you know that I talked to Ter today and she sounded good. She is waiting to hear results of tests that were done and has no idea how long she is going to have to be in the hospital. If you want to send her a card, PM me and I'll give you my address. I'll call her over the weekend and see how she is doing.

I talked to Ter today. She's still in the hospital and at the time I talked to her, she had not talked to the doctor; doesn't know how long they are going to keep her or what is wrong. She still sounded in good spirits. Now that my mother is out of the hospital, I should be able to keep in touch a little more and update you. She told me her husband brought her a card from Leann in Australia - sorry, don't know if I spelled your name right - and she was so excited to get it.
Hugs to everyone who has asked about her.

Hello everyone! Im here at last! They released me today as I dont think they could handle me anymore! LOL
And Margaret was right still to this day, I do not think they knew why I was there. I am having a heart/lung problem, and they in my room put on this chart thing of what their goal is for me was "pain management"? Oh how nice when I thought I was having a heart attact, then it was a blood clot on lung! So I am here at home, and very tired, still don't know.
But wanted to thank ALL of you for keeping me in your thoughts and prayers, and cards I have been recieving! they all made me cry, then I got all clogged up in the nose, so then I had to blame you guys for making me cry when all the nurses came running to see what was wrong with me..and yes I did put the blame on you! LOL Yes it was funny as I had to blame it on someone, who else should I had blamed it on????? You always blame and hurt the ones that you love.
Thanks so much all of you. And yes I will be resting TONS!
BIG hugs
Ter -

Ter - WELCOME back! I know what you mean about you were in a facility that had the equipment and the opportunity to CT scan your whole body, but they refused except for the lung. My oncologist refused to run cholesterol screening on me during routine lab, but I just stared at him and said "My regular Dr. has put me on Lipitor and then switched me to Vytorin because it wasn't lowering the LDL level. HE has read the Arimidex (your Rx) material and it says it can elevate cholesterol AND blood pressure. I'm on Rx for both of these condition since you put me on Arimidex 1&1/2 years ago. Why should I lose another day of work to drive back to the City to have him draw blood to run the test? HE wants to know if your Rx for Arimidex is causing false lab readings on cholesterol levels.
Oncologist called down to the lab and told them to run the test on the samples they had drawn a couple of hours before.
You just gotta insist, sometimes - and complain to your Insurance company when they do this. There is a set up charge and they want to do it separately, i.e. Chest, abdomen, pelvis if they can, BUT they can scan all three areas at one time (that's how mine have been done in the past). Bummer they released you with no dx/px. -
Sandy,
I was thinking of that today, well actually someone "my cousin" mentioned to me about calling my ins. co. and letting them know they treated me for a symptom I had, but was not dx with, or without! Does not make sence to me at all. Might just give them a call tomorrow!
Thanks
And its good to be back with all my friends here!
