No more hot flashes
I am NOT a paid spokesperson but when I find something that works for hot flashes I like to share.
After hysto in 2004 I was on hormone replacement until BC diagnosis in 2007. After that just "handled" hot fllashes. Finally found Macafem on the web and used it for about 8 months. Worked pretty good but have now found Amberen and it works great! May have 1-2 mini flashes a day but no more night sweats and regular temp is more regulated.
Hope this info helps someone. Namaste'.

Don't know where you think you are, but after 18 weeks of chemotherapy I had no more hot flashes. If you can't tolerate them, maybe you should try that.

Wow yellow - what's that about?
-
Hi wrsmith - Please come tell us about your experience on the HOT FLASH FORUM!
-
Sorry all, I didn't want to hit menopause so early, but chemo can give you chemopause and then you are there. That up above looks like an advertisement to me for a couple of things I've never heard of before, and we don't usually take advertisements here. Nothing says advertisement like "I am NOT a paid spokesperson but . . . "
Has anyone ever heard of these things?

Hi yellowdoglady -
Amberen - I looked up their website and it seems interesting. On the Hot Flash Forum thread we have discussed menopret (which I tried but it didn't seem to help) and many other things.
-
Okay. Excuse me for being an ass once again, but I worry that we all can be sold things we really don't need and/or our doctors don't want us to have for reasons they can explain to us. I'm a huge advocate for all of us, but it is really important to bounce things off your docs if you are considering them. Then at least you can hear what he or she has to say about it, and do your research, and then decide for yourself. There is impulse buying even in this business, and more than most of you would imagine. We all want to get well and strong. We just need to do it armed with the right information.
-
Good advice yellowdoglady - I automatically do that (onc PA ok'd the menopret) and assume others do as well, but we shouldn't assume anything as you point out.

WOW.....here I was thinking that maybe I could help someone with something that I have found that helped me and I get reemed for it. So sorry that I offended anyone. Please forgive me.
I pray that your anger goes away.....Namaste'.
