weight loss?

I am due to have a mastectomy on my right breast and am having DIEP. I have heard of some people saying they lost weight immediately after but I can't see how that would work as the stomach fat is just going into my breast so surely I would be the same weight. I know weight loss is not really important in the scheme of things but could do with losing a bit and if it does happen will be something to keep positive about! xxx

I had a mastectomy and diep on my right breast a year ago. I lost 4 or 5lbs. and my stomach is flatter. I'm not that big to begin with but I noticed a change. Good luck with your surgery. Feel free to contact me if you have any questions about what it was like.
