    Why use a sledgehammer when a flyswatter will do?  When

     your mother=kidney, father=pancreatic, Great Aunt =breast

    Aunt= breast & ovarian, Uncle=colon, Younger sister=lymphomia,

    nephew=kidney,older sister= breast&liver+pancreatic ~~~Me DCIS

    breast cancer.  Take them both= no cancer, no chemo, no radiation

    no chance.  I don't trust cancer PERIOD.  Flyswatters are to tame

    for me.  Went with the sledge hammers and not one regret 2 months

    later.

    I totally agree with the sledge hammer analogy!! I, too, chose the sledge hammer and had a bilateral mastectomy w/node dissection and no reconstruction. The less stress in my already stressful the better!!!

    Here here to the sledge hammer gals!!!! I didn't realize til now how courageous we all are in the decisions we make in our treatments, whether we choose the fly swatter or the sledge hammer!

    Thank you for your words of support.  Compared to some of these

    other postings, my situation is a walk in the park.
