Help! No Insurance and Need Breast Biopsy in New York

Hi Ladies,

Yesterday at Thanksgiving I learned of a woman who recently lost her job--no insurance. At her mammo in July they saw suspicious lump and advised a core biopsy. Now she has no insurance! Does anyone know of any programs or institutions that could enable her to get free core biopsy and bc treatment in the NYC/LI area? Thanks!

Try the Breast and Cervical Cancer Screening Program. By law, every state has a program and it provides free screening of breast and cervical cancer. It also provides free treatment if cancer is found.

Your friend can contact her local health department for more information on this program.
