Tink - I know the mood swings suck - I have heard the Effexor does work for many women. I am one that can not take it. For me, amitriptyline is not only good for my pain but has much improved my mood - it is one of the antidepressants that can be taken with Tammi. Hope you find some relief real soon.
Linda - WTH - A recurrance - that is so wrong. Sounds like you are taking care fo business. I have remained smoke free for just over 4 months and I still live with a smoker. I use an electronic cig with no nicotine - it is that or go back to smoking or eating until I am huge. It does work for me.
(((CHABBA))) We are here for you.
-
Chabba.. we are with you all the way!!!! I agree I think Shari"s post was perfect!. lean on us girl! hugs!!!!
-
Thank you all! And yes Shari, your post was just right, exactly what I needed.
I will know Friday if there is anything to be concerned about because if there is they are to do an immediate ultrasound and biopsy. My appointment with the MO is Monday. At least with Thanksgiving this week I'll be too busy orchestrating dinner for over 100 people to spend much time thinking about it.
-
Chabba - just wanted to say you have prayers and positive thoughts coming from Southern Utah as well. I would be so scared in your shoes, but Shari was so right - they DO keep an eagle eye on us for quite some time after diagnosis! I know you'll keep us posted, and I'm paws crossed for a big - it was NOTHING! And yeah for Thanksgiving being a great distraction!
Purrs,
Jenn

Chabba shari said it so well, you are being watched so closely, however that does not make it any easier either.... stay strong and lean on friends for support...love you and praying for benign results and hopefully you can have a wonderful Thanksgiving.
Tink my friend, so sorry you are so restless. Talk to your MO they have to have something for you to try. If that was me, I know I could not go on like that. Hugs and kisses!
Oh PAULA.....where are you????
-
Chabba: here is a great big (gentle) Canadian hug for you.
-
Chabba we are all here for you. I know how scared you are as I just went through the same thing a couple of weeks ago. Was B9 but still had to have surgery to remove the lump. Good thing you will be very busy for Thanksgiving. (((((((((((((HUGS))))))))))))) and keep us posted. I'll be in your pocket on Friday that is for sure.
So I went to my 3rd PS today and he and #2 basically agreed and I am going with him. Will not be able to have my MX until March because of work but feel really good about moving forward. Now that I have made some decisions I finally feel like I can see light at the end of the tunnel.
-
Sherry - So glad you now have a plan and a PS you feel comfortable with. You need to catch a break and now it is here.
-
Jo yes I feel so much better. I think it is all about making decision about what is best for us. You know my story. When I changed from MO #1 to MO #2 I also felt really good about that decision and knew it was right. Now with this decision I also feel really good and know it is what is right for me. Still really upset that my BS did not give me my options last year but I am making headway and feel really good about it. I feel like I can finally quit worrying so much about local recurrence since I am doing something about it. I know there are no guarantees but at least I will bring my local recurrence down to 2% and my distant recurrence is 14% which is low in the whole scheme of things. I think I can live comfortably with those numbers. -
Chabba, gentle hugs and prayers coming your way.
A dear friend whom I have not seen for years came yesterday to spend Thanksgiving with me and DH, so I will be busy and not back here for a few days, so wish everyone a happy Thanksgiving - may you spend it with loved ones, and know that I will be thinking of all of you scattered across the globe, thankful for each of you.
-
I would like to take this opportunity to wish each and everyone of you a very Happy Thanksgiving. You ladies mean the world to me. I am forever grateful for all your love and support.
-
HI ladies. I have not been on here much at all. Very busy, looking at colleges and such.
So much happening here. I am sorry for all those going through stress of upcoming biopsies. Paula praying your nodules are b9. I have a small one in my right lung they ct scan every 6 months. It hasn't changed thankfully. I try not to think about it. Thinking of you.
Chabba... grrrr, hoping your lumps are b9 as well. Hang in there.
Mpeaches ~ Glad to hear your back is simply BACK problems and not the big "C". I hope you find some relief.
I am cooking for Thanksgiving, having 12 people over so not too bad. I love the Thanksgiving meal. It will be a day off of my diet. I started WW. Being laid up with the broken leg I gained 8 darn pounds.
Jo, Tink, June, Sherry and all of you other fine ladies. I think of you all often and pray for you all always.
Hugs and Happy Thanksgiving.
Alicia

Checking in with my Tammi buddies.
Tink - I hope they can get you something to help you feel more like the old you soon!
Chabba - I am so sorry about the recent development and will be praying for benign results. If you feel a hand on your shoulder, just know it is me with you in spirit. And I love me a pocket party so count me in on Friday.
Jo - Love the Thanksgiving picture
Want to let you guys know that you are one of the many blessings I will be thankful for this Thanksgiving. Having the love & support from everyone has made the trials & tribulations of this journey much more manageable. For that I thank each of you.
May everyone traveling for the holiday have safe travels and Happy Thanksgiving to you all.
-
Paula....LMAO....I love you girl!!!! My kids think I am whacked (no pun intended) as I am always laughing out loud too often on this site.....
Chabba love you and hope you will have a fantastic Turkey day and can relax and put this behind you for 1 day.....
To all my other wonderful tammi girls, I am thankful for each and every one of you as you bring me such laughter and honesty and caring when most needed. Kiss kiss and Happy Turkey Day!!
-
I am so thankful for all of my BCO friends. You have all helped make the last few days easier. Tomorrow, like this afternoon and early evening, I will be too busy cooking and overseeing dinner for a hundred people or so to dwell on it, but the worry still simmers.
I know I wont have any shirt pockets when I go in for the exam but since I've lost 15 lbs. there is lots of room in my pants pockets for a party!
-
June I am going to be nice to you since its Thanksgiving and I am not going to whack you with a pillow today. Oh who am I kidding WHACK WHACK WHACK!!!!
Have a HAPPY THANKSGIVING all my Tammi girls. I hope to enjoy mine too!
-
Happy Thanksgiving to all of you!!!!!!!!! Love and hugs!!!!!!
Had the consult with the surgeon yesterday regarding the nodes in my lungs. He will do surgery Thursday............UNLESS........ he decides to do something else....what is that??? WELL!!!!
He found a large lump under my arm also......oh boy!! The joys of all this crap!!!!!!!

I was so blown away as my dil was that I couldn't even post anything last night. I kept coming on here, and would just leave........I want to run and hide under a rock and get into denile right now but I know can't!!!!! He is getting ALL my reports, from the Oncologist, the surgeon that did my lumpectomy, the cancer center that miss coded me for rads, the Oncologist that first seen me, my family dr and the pain management clinic!! THAT all will probably take a little time!!
He thinks the horrible pain I have been having might be that it has spread into my lumph glands./nodes......
He said that yes, he is going to still remove the nodes in my lungs tho......and they are right above my heart. He use to be a heart surgeon so he assured me I would be in good hands. I loved this dr. he was so so so very onto everything~!!!
SO Friday I will know a bit more, the next week he said if anything comes from reading some of my surgery notes, or other notes, he will call me. Otherwise we will do that one surgery next Thursday and then go on to find more about what else is going on after. He said he just doesn't want to leave me hanging on all this. AND he wants me to see a breast specialist instead of just a general surgeon, and he even was on the phone with a breast specialist talking to her when he was in examining me and explaining what I had done.........
Anyway, MY youngest son and his wife and baby girl are here from Okla. Last night we had Red beans and rice and Chicken gumbo that I had made on Monday. And had Maleah's first birthday party last night. Today we will have a Huge Thanksgiving dinner together. It is so awesome to have my five grandkids, two sons and two daughter in laws here with me last night and today.
Three of my grand daughters will have a "sleep" over in Nannie's room tonight.......we are gonna do makeup, hair, nails, eat junk food and watch movies, read books and probably have a pillow fight or two!!!!!! hehee
I am going to go enjoy the day and tonight!!!!!!
Sherry, glad they are going to finally help with that pain! Tink, it is always better to get something to help, than just keep on having the depression..crying all the time......wish you the best sweety!!
Chabba!!!!! My heart goes out to you sweety!!And to you all HAVE A HAPPY THANKSGIVING even if all hell seems to be charging at us...........we WILL FIGHT LIKE GIRLS!!!!!!!!!!!!

-
