BTW Shelly was it worth it to have the yard sale?
I sure hope so...I love them sooo much but i never saw anyone (at least here i NJ) make much $$$$$.people want everything for nothing.I used to have thrift shops.same thing....it made me nuts.if i say its 4 bucks thats what it is.But i used to go to yard sales and buy and resell.it was fun tho....i love thrift shops.

ONce again Sherry I AM SO DAMN HAPPY FOR YOU
-
Sorry I have been off.
Sherry great news. Have to take a trip to SA too see you.
Marching band is finally over our guys got 7th overall in state for 4A bands. Mighty proud of them
I may have a torn meniscus in my after all my volunteering this band season. I it really hard having to reevaluate the kind of things you can and cannot do. -
Well I made about $200 in 2 days and got rid of lots of CRAP. I feel kind of bad though. My old lady neighbor bought the stuff I was sure NO ONE would buy, she thought it was just beautiful (sticking finger down my throat). This is gaudy stuff brought from my equally old in-laws' downsizing yard sales in Sept/Oct. Maybe it is just the style of that time?? I swear, she said "they just don't make stuff like this anymore." I just agreed with her and was happy to see it go, except her husband just died and I know she is on a fixed income. Thus my guilt. GrannyD, here we have to deal with the Haitian ladies. They come in groups and are pretty aggressive. They want everything for nothing, especially shoes and clothes. I hear they send them back to Haiti. If you want your stuff gone though, they will buy it all for $10 or whatever you agree on, and it will be gone. Depends on if that is your goal or not.
Band Moms unite!! Hope your band season was fun Walker. I sort of miss those days, it was fun, but hard work. I can't imagine sweating out in the concessions now though, I have no tolerance to heat anymore.
Annette how are you doing? Have you been traveling again? Learn anything we should know?
I think BarbA is on a cruise. Not sure about everyone else.
Hope you all had a great weekend.
-
Shelly----wow you made 200 bucks....thats good real good.ya know when i had my thrift shops the old sayin was someone else trash is another persons treasure...treat yourself to something that you wouldnt buy...hugggggggs K

Hey everyone been gone over the weekend. Went to an event for BC patients and surviviors called Casting For Recovery. You put your application in and if you get chosen it is free. It was an absolute blast. I think they said it is in 36 States now. There website is www.castingforrecovery.org
They only take 14 women per event. There were 126 that applied and I was lucky to get chosen. anyway lots of fun check it out.

Hi Folks, I'm back! It was really great and I am so relaxed I am almost comatose. Had a great time but now that I have been back for a week, I feel the stresss creeping back in. I got a yoga DVD so I will see if that will help center me. Here is a pic of DH and me.
