So I had a bit of left chest pressure/pain and breathlessness going on for a few week (5 ish), especially when I'm standing up. It hasn't gone away after my baby's delivery 2 weeks ago, so yesterday I went to ER room for it. They suspected pulmonary embolism but CT didn't find anything. Heart/heart sac is normal, left lung seems ok.

But in addition, they found that my heart rate at rest is at 67, but when standing up, it quickly turned into 100. lying down the heart rate went back to 67 again. And I'm not dehydrated.

Now it's officially a medical mystery. I'm due for A/C dose 3 tomorrow, but I'm not sure whether I should keep it, due to this weird heart/lung condition. Urgently need advice on this. My onco is out on thanksgiving vacation, I'll need to talk to onduty nurse practitioner about this.

Another thing, they found a 4mm nodule in the lower apical peripheral of right lung. They didn't say much, but told me to ask onco to restage me and said it's unlikely to be infection though anybody can have small nodules (etc...). I got the CD, but i haven't had the courage to look. I'm really scared.

    Jen

    Diagnosis: 8/29/2011, IDC, 2cm, Grade 3, 1/1 nodes, ER+/PR+, HER2-

    Dear Jen,

Sorry you haven't had any replies to this.  How are you doing?  Did they figure anything out about your nodule?  I'm so sorry you are dealing with this with a brand new baby to take care of...and on A/C too...you poor thing.

No advice to offer, just warm hugs.

    Jen:

Can't give you advice but can tell you that I have a heart problem caused apparently by my chemo - that said, I am symptomless but the doctors are concerned - can you ask for an ECHO cardiogram this next week - I think it's very important and a visit to a cardiologist is in line as well - you can get an ECHO ordered by your PCP and depending on the findings you can get referred to a cardiologist - make sure your onc is kept "in the loop" I'd hate for you to miss your next chemo unless it is absolutely necessary.  I didn't have the heart problem until very recently (3 years out) but who knows how we each react to the treatment.

Sending hugs to you and your new little one. Keep us informed. Sandy
