I have a pretty good idea who it is. I thought duplicate accounts were not allowed.

Good morning ... and a nice quiet one I hope.
I will be forever grateful to the women on this board who calmed me down and gave me real information when I first came here. I think encountering fear mongering back then would have totally pushed me over the edge. So sometimes it is hard for me to keep my big mouth shut.
I'm going to prove my lack of cultural awareness here. What is Project Accessory? TV show? Just to prove I'm not totally culturally lacking I did rush out to see the Puss in Boots movie.
Rosemary ... it's not nice to have a good joke and keep it all to yourself
Congrats on the new computer Athena. With all that speed at your fingertips we will expect to hear from you more often.

WR -- I couldn't agree more! I was so scared of doing chemo (and for me it was a choice, but with the odds a little in my favour according to available stats). When we are fearful, we usually look for articles, websites etc. that might tell us "don't do it, it'll kill you" and then grab onto that info as justification for our decision. Sort of like politics, in a way......
BCO was not on the list of recommended info sites given to me by my onc team almost 4 years ago. I daresay it still is not. I didn't find this site until I had completed chemo, but found a great deal of comfort in discovering that other posters were also experiencing some of the SEs that frequently appear after tx. Then, as I moved onto Femara, it was great to "talk" to others about my symptoms. Those were the good old days, and with a bit of sophistication in choosing which health-related sites provide legitimate info and which ones to stay far, far away from, I'm still comfortable with the choices I made.
Fear influences, and too frequently overrides logical, rational thinking. With a few exceptional members (and we know who they are, bless them for sticking around!) posters here do not have the training, nor the understanding, to determine which research "studies" are legitimate, peer-reviewed and widely accepted, and which ones are not. One can say "I've researched this til I'm blue in the face", but without a fairly high level of education and training in the ways of research, all that work (mostly derived from the internet) is worthless.
Now, this is just my opinion, but thanks for listening!

Oh my, while I was composing my latest post, Blue was busy moving this page along! Okay, I'll help!Loved the pic of the cat using the people-litter-box! Should have trained my little guys to do the same. Instead, Toffee prefers to drink out of the toilet! Abby is too much of a lady to even stoop that low.On second thought -- who's afraid of 666? I'd be more afraid of 999

I didn't go the chemo route because my onc thought it might make my PD worse. My ILC was 1.5 cm, grade 2 which put it on the border. I discussed it with my family and we all agreed that I should forego it. My DD's best friend's mother is in breast cancer research and told me at that time that chemo wouldn't do much for me as ILC is very slow growing and chemo goes after the faster growing cancers. I hope I made the right decision, but I figured if the cancer didn't get me, the PD would. I did do radiation and hormone therapy though. Live day to day and LMBO whenever I can. So when anyone thinks they are upsetting me......think again!

My hero will save us from evil ... just as soon as he finishes his drink.

Any more requests?

Athena ... back in my working days I enjoyed dressing well and would have liked that show. I used to buy from a little dress shop where the woman was a wizard with scarves and jewelry and such. Now ... there just isn't much that goes well with jeans and tees/sweatshirts

Speaking of drinking...
I would like to share with you an experience that I recently had regarding drinking and driving.
As you would know, most of us have had brushes with the law on our way home at one time or another.
Well I for one have done something about it.
The other night I was out for dinner and a few drinks with some friends.
Having had a few too many martinis and knowing full well I was struggling,
I did something I've never done before. I took a bus home.
I arrived home safely and without incident, which was a real surprise as I have never driven a bus before. -
Thanks Blue! The long hair worked for him back then. Now? Not so much.
My tumor was IDC-1.5 cm. Under the guidelines prior to the Oncotype test, I would have been an automatic chemo. My Oncotype score was 11 and my oncologist did not recommend chemo. If he had, I would have done it. I, like many others here, have to believe I made the right choice, and I try not to worry about it too much.
