Taxotere and Cytoxan

Options

I was diagnosed with metastatic liver cancer in May, after having Her2positive breast cancer in 08.  I was on a clinical trial, but didn't tolerate the chemo and had to be taken off.  Last week I received my first dose of Taxotere and Cytoxan and will also be doing Herceptin again.  Since my chemo on Thursday, I have had nausea (which I expected), mouth sores, but the most discouraging is this horrible headache that has been ongoing since day 2 after the chemo.  Don't know if this is a side effect of these drugs----can't seem to find anything on headaches.  Anyone else had this problem?

D-I just finish 4 rounds on TC in August. After all 4 rounds I would get a headache but not till day 11. Wehen I mentioned it after round 2 to my MO she thought it was not related to the TC.

Hoping by replying you get a bump up in the thread...good luck!

You mentioned nausea.  I was on Zofran for nausea which causes headaches. My headaches were pretty strong but luckily my nausea was limited to two days and once I stopped the Zofran the headaches subsided.  Good luck with the rest of your treatment.

I am having headaches too on T/C....just finished up my third treatment.  My MO actually ordered a brain MRI, which I wasn't too happy about (better safe than sorry) and have yet to receive results (had it done yesterday).  Anyway, the headache and ringing in the ears is really bothering me.  Advil is not cutting it.....UGH!

I did A/C back in 2003 and I got a horrible headache with the first treatment.

The Oncology nurse on the next treatment slowed the Cytoxan way down and I never had another headache after that. I just had to make sure that they slowed it down for every treatment.

Something to think about. Hope this combo works for you .
