And here's another jolly -- with apologies to those of us who are lacking bosoms, of course:
A woman and a baby were in the doctor's examining room, waiting for the doctor to come in for the baby's first exam.
The doctor arrived, and examined the baby, checked his weight, and being a little concerned, asked if the baby was breast-fed or bottle-fed.
'Breast-fed, ' she replied..
' Well, strip down to your waist, ' the doctor ordered.
She did. He pinched her nipples, pressed, kneaded, and rubbed both breasts for a while in a very professional and detailed examination.
Motioning to her to get dressed, the doctor said, 'No wonder this baby is underweight. You don't have any milk. '
I know, ' she said, ' I'm his Grandma,But I'm glad I came !!!!!

ROFLMAO!
-
LINDA - fabulous, just the best!!!!!
-
People are starting to look at me sitting here laughing - loved it!!
-
HAHAHAHAHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA..Good one!
-
Linda, love it! Mary, 2016 is when I can finally retire. IF social security is still viable. Otherwise I will be working until I drop.
-
Barbara - did I miss the "report" of your cruise??? Hope it was deliciously wonderful - and you loed all your clothes

More snow on the way...this time I remembered to get my snowshoes/poles out of the basement, which can only be entered from the outside of my cabin - and my exercise DVDs are on their way - determined to say goodbye to the Pillsbury Dough Boy's sistere this winter!
Blue - hope you're feeling better.
I did a massive job of bruising my left hand, not sure how, iced it, arnica gel, then Tiger Balm - then I was REALLY dumb, and had the tech at Dana Farber take my blood pressure on that arm - seems ( as it was also the hand that was used for all my chemotherapy) the hand is not happy - the weirest color black&blue/blood red - YUCK. Hurts, and it's been a week. Not as swollen as it was, but the strangest color...oh, my, bc, the gift that keeps on giving
Not sure what to do with it - hurts!!!!! -
Sunflowers, feeling a lot better. My falls usuallly do a lot more damage. hehehehehhe!
Sorry about the bruising. You must have hit it somewhere?
I'm gonna see how much trouble I can get into with all my Xmas decorations.
-
Morning all! I came back to find some good jokes ... thanks for the chuckles!
Barbara ... hope there is a new, better job out there with your name on it just waiting for you. Work takes up too much of our time to have to hate it and be miserable. Hope something comes along to release you from that bondage.
Sunflowers ... ouch. Don't know what you can do about bruising like that but if it doesn't at least start changing colors and getting yellowish/greenish like bruises do you probably should get it checked out.
Rosemary ... hoping you are feeling better today. Your boss and coworkers sound like nice people ... they could obviously tell that you did not feel good.
Glad to see you home Bren. It was so caring and wonderful of you to make that trip to help your cousin. Hope you can relax and recuperate a bit now.
Weather was nice and warm and then temps went way down. But the sun is shining so still not bad for November. Anybody here affected by the tornadoes?

Hi Friends!
I did my Thanksgiving shopping today. So I'm all set to host dinner next Thursday! I love Thanksgiving, it's my favorite holiday.
I pick my mom up this Sunday and she will be with me for a week. I'm glad she's coming. She can help me put the tree up and decorate, plus help me with the cooking.
And of course ... there is the never-ending leaf problem I need help with. I'm so sore today from blowing leaves yesterday. I spent hours on that chore .. and the blower is huge and heavy. I'm crazy for buying a house surrounded by HUGE trees!
It's only 39 degrees here today and raining. Just a couple of degrees different and we could have snow. Just not ready for it this soon in the season.
Hope everyone is having a good day.
hugs,
Bren

Blue and Sunflowers, ouch and glad you are mending.
I thought I had posted a pic of DH and me on formal night. The cruise was great until the last 36 hours when we hit 16 foot seas. Ugh. I didn't get sick but it was impossible to walk around.
Thanks, Marilyn. I hope I find one too.

Just popping back in here where it's safe and sane ... and looking for a drink maybe! I don't see our bartender so I'll get it myself ... anybody else want something while I'm pouring?
Susie ... it's only Friday in your little corner of the world.
-
WR, sorry to be MIA. Getting ready to head off to Diocese Convention tomorrow morning at the Crap of Dawn. Will be gone until Sat night.
There's plenty of booze and nipplies for everyone. Behave youselves, it's already Friday somewhere!!
-
Have a good trip!
-
I'll join you in that drink WhiteRabbit...shaking my head in disbelief.
-
Joining in too. Wishing our head bartender a good trip.
Cold weather here - it is so nice to feel cold for once in many, many months. There's no accounting for taste where weather is concerned.
Enjoying my new super-duper computer, too. It has a quad core processor and 1.5 terabytes in the RAM. More than I need, but I was sick of my slug of a machine. The computer at work strikes me as really slow now. The keyboard and mouse are wireless.
I am thankful that I have a job I love, despite a few wrinkles. I have been on the other end - where Barbara is, and even if my job "hates" me and it could theoretically disappear at any time, I will take the enjoyment any time and forget the rest for a second. Can't think of much worse than a job I hate. It's like a prison sentence. So I really hope Barbara's penance ends soon.
One thing I don't believe in is loyalty to one's employer. I prefer to believe in loyalty to a cause (or a career, a vocation or an ethos). Employers cannot really be trusted and that has been true for many years. It is just a business relationship one has with an institution - even if it is a non profit. Sad, in a way.Anyway, blah, blash, blah....
-
Oh, and may this be a nice Friday for all, in all time zones. Off to watch "Project Accessory" :-)
-
Totally amazing - strange woman
-
Sigh...pour me a double.
-
Yeah Lobotomy!
-
I think I must have had a lobotomy myself because I'm not following. Who is the strange woman?(apologies if it's me -lol!)
-
Someone who caused lots of deletions on the Alt thread
-
Athena-I was wondering the same thing myself.....do a search of WhiteRabbit's posts and you'll find the thread that many here were participating in. Lots of deletions.
At first I thought you were all talking about Project Accessory but then I realized susie couldn't possibly be watching it in Australia at the same time it's on here.
Mary
-
Ah - I see that thread now. What annoys me most are the moderator deletions - the second most annoying factor is that the thread was started by someone who has had cancer twice but has maintained that her smoking is not detrimental to her health.
ETA: Mary - lol! I fully admit that Project Runway and Project Accessory are not exactly the most necessary, deep things in the world.:--)
-
I try to stay to this thread most of the time. The other ones either scare me or annoy me.
Mary
-
You all crack me up...
Hubby wants to know what is so funny?
Sorry Athena for the confusion.
-
No problem, Ang!
-
I'm with Mary. I stay here. Less chance of a high blood pressure episode.
-
I said I thought I had forgotten some dates to do with bc, but I just realised that today is my second anniversary of starting chemo. I will always remember the last one - our son's birthday on March 10th.
Hope you all have a great weekend!!!
Sue
-
Susie
What are you going to do to celebrate that anniversary?
I was going to insert a chemo joke here but don't want to start a heated discussion.
