Wondering how long this drug can be used?  Meaning, do you take it only every once in a while when you need it or do you take it every day to prevent anxiety from setting in?  My sister was prescribed this and her doctor was not very clear about it.  She's in England and it's a very different health system in terms of information.  Wondering what the experiences are on this board?  She is not taking it for breast cancer but for a uterine condition that is new and making her anxious.

    i took ativan while i had chemo and it worked for the nausea, but going off of it was extremely hard on my emotions.  unfortunately my dr's did not tell me i should go off it gradually..In the end i had to get another anxiety med to level my mind and body! good luck!

    I took it for chemo and as I felt I needed it...mostly at night to help me sleep. I depended on it too much to help me sleep and took me a couple weeks to fall asleep without it. (((HUGS)))
