Good golly, go to super sexy boyfriends for the weekend and you ladies go nuts. Lets see if I can hit everyone-sorry beforehand if I miss ya.
Racy-let me know if you come up with any remedies for the sweating. I've turned into a sprinkler myself. Hoping for your x-mas gift (miracle as MamaV put it-by the was LMAO at that one). Also was it you who mentioned extentions? How long does your hair have to be for that and if you don't mind me asking, what's the general cost?
MamaV-Oh comeon don't you want a pictorial of your wonderful journey over the last last few months? Just kidding, if you don't want a reminder then that's cool. I actually took lots of pics during my treatment days (aka the bald months) cause I wanted my boys to be able to look back at them and think, "you know that had to suck for her, but she got through it". Actually the day after I lost my hair (which had been past my shoulders), I got out the face paints and let the boys paint it. It was a way of them getting upclose and personal with the baldness in a fun, nonthreatening way. Seemed to have done the trick cause they never acted like it was a big deal at all.
McCrimmon32-I use to go to Epcot all the time-lived in Tampa for 3 years, was alot of fun. Hope you have a great time. Are you comfortable just going topless there on that day? Might be fun to try it out. Oh and loved your husbands comment about the pumpkin. If I hadn't already gotten alot of coverage by Halloween I was going to paint my head like one.
Lago-have faith in the nails. Mine were a hot mess when I fininshed chemo and I thought they were destined for permanent nail polish to cover them up, but now they are great. Healthy, long and strong with no nasty ridges or lifting. Also I so know what you mean about those damn dreams. They are so real and you feel so complete again, then you wake up and it's almost like your mourning your "old" self again. If I'm going to dream, I'd prefer that it involve Brad Pitt and a hot tropical getaway (sorry BF).
Mammalou-Holy crap, steroid shots in your head. Bless your heart, that's awful. Your a better women than me, I'd just say to hell with it and break out the wig.
i2willsurvive-10wks and 1", I'm dying of envy. You better go topless girl, for all those of us that have hairevny toward you, LOL. I bet you look great and if your ready, going topless can be very freeing. Hope you have fun with it.,
Kymn-your hair looks great, very sassy. Liked your long hair (in avatar), but no fooling, you really can pull off that short hair.
ksmatthews-good for you. This is you right now, and your good enough, You are a fighter and a survivor and we need to wear this super sexy short hair with pride, because we've earned it damn it.
LuvRVing-Look at all that hair at 6wks. I thing you win the award for fastest growing hair, and I love the new Spike theme I see going on.
linnyhopp-what a great attitude you have. We will all ber here cheering you on. You can do it, and before you know it, you'll be on here compairing your own hair regrowth. Best of luck to you girl, fight the good fight.
3jaysmom-gosh you have alot of length. I agree, cutting and shaping it up will help alot with making it seem fuller. Gotta love our hair.
So mine is just about 1" long 13 1/2wkPFC. Was noticing that the crown in my hear ( I have two of them by the way) seems to have the least amount of coverage, although there is really quite alot around, Have you ladies noticed this with you own hair? Also is it a bad thing that once or twice a week I take the tweezers and pluck out a hair ot two and measure it with mySpongeBob ruler? No I'm not kidding. Love ya ladies.
-
As long as it's a SpongeBob ruler.

Survivor11: Trying to keep the faith on this whole thing. First chemo is less than 12 hours away now...yikes...have been drinking water like a sponge and the night ahead should be interesting between all the steroids and the potty trips. Hope I will be able to stay positive when the hair goes. Can't seem to get past that, but it seems like most say once it's gone, you just move on. Hope that's true for me. A Very Good Night to all and will post later.
-
linnythopp-it does get easier when the hair goes. You spend so much time being freaked out about how you'll feel, what it will be like, how it will look before it goes, that by the time it does, sometimes it's a relief to not have to worry about it anymore. Hope it's that way for you, but if you need a shoulder to cry on, we are all here for ya. Good luck tom.

Morning Ladies,
Everyone looks so good. Luv RV ing, I love your hair, I chickened out on the hair color because I was afraid I waited until the last minute and my scalp would be bright orange. I do have the color that you used and my hair seems to have really darkened up over this weekend so I think I'll be using it sometime this week.
Had a blast at Epcot, in my wig. No problems at all, we are going back to Animal Kingdom and Harry Potter world in a few weeks, as long as my hair fills in like I think it will I'll go topless.
-
LuvRVing. I'm a graphic designer so I have professional software to edit photos. I use Adobe Photoshop. I know they have a version that's less professional (less expensive) but I'm not sure what it allows you to do.
Survivor my last chemo tx was Jan. 18th! It's been 10 months already! This seems longer than anyone else I've read about granted I had a very intense case of nail issues. BTW I prefer George Clooney. Not really into blonds. More tall dark and handsome… even Georgy is a bit pale for me

-
Good luck linnyhop. I agree with survivor, the anticipation of losing your hair, and then the very beginnining of losing it is the worst part. Once it fell out, I had other things to worry about. But now I am really anxious for it to come back.
Lago, George clooney is just about my perfect man. How about a young, skinny Elvis? I like the blondes too though. -
Mccrimmon, have fun! I've been to all the Disney places, but never Harry potter world. Gotta see that stuff while you're nearby.
-
mccrimmon-OMG, you will love Harry Potter land. This is a funny story-many years ago my very young boys (all of whom LOVE Harry Potter) asked if there was a HP world. I said no there wasn't at the time, but if there ever was I'd be sure to take them. Who knew they'd actually build one, so the summer before my DX I flew all three boys, my ex-husband and myself down to Orlando and went. Spent a fortune but it was soooooo worth it. They had a blast, a once in a lifetime moment to have such a great trip with my little men, especially 9 months later when I was dx. Be sure to try the butterbeer, sounds nasty, but is awesome.
Lago-I wouldn't mind a little George on the side.

Hi ladies, Pop on over to the Oct 2011 thread I finally got the courage to post pics of me sporting the BALD look :-) there is one with my long hair, one no hair and one with my really long hair with my daughter and grand daughter :-) Last treatment is this thursday wooohooo
-
Linnyhopp - good luck today with the first chemo. The anticipation is likely to be worse than the actual treatment. Try to keep on drinking like a sponge - that will help minimize side effects.
Terry - great pictures! Love the picture of you with your daughter and granddaughter, beautiful ladies!!!
McCrimmon - the hair coloring didn't mess with my scalp, I just shampoo'd a couple times in the shower after finishing the color and my scalp was fine. Glad you enjoyed EPCOT. I love Disney, we were there this past February with our daughter, SIL and 3 grandkids. I could go again anytime but we're 1500 miles away so it may be a year or two before we head back!
-
survivor11 - we are surprising our kids at Christmas with a trip to HP World. (We have a trip scheduled for May this year, but BC took that away).
Here is where I stand on the hair. It is now 1 inch long. Look very similar to Emma Watson when she chopped hers off. Doesn't look to bad actually. I'd like another inch in front for bangs, just for comfort. Starting to curl a little (I had curly hair pre-chemo) and the color is almost back to my original color - no gray thank God! Problem is ... I live it Chicago and it's fricken cold! I can't go without something on my head or I'm freezing! I don't know how men do it! If it were summer, I'd be topless right now, but I'm too cold. So... still wearing my wig to keep me warm! Oh well ... when spring hits I will take it off and have a few inches of hair and might even look like I have a hair style!
Have a great day all!

Re: nail discussions
I too have had ridging, lifting and black streaks from my infusions. The lifting really seemed to get worse after I finished. My MO said I would have one ridge per infusion, so six ridges, and that seems to be pretty much true. I haven't covered them up with polish since the lifting started; I didn't want to get polish remover under the nails and irritate the nailbed, so I just keep them trimmed super short and try to keep them hydrated...they seem to be really dried out, too.
I know I still owe you guys some topless pics...still hoping to get some up soon!
-
I too got the ridges, yep 6 each one per treatment and then after I was all done about a month later I lost 4 toenails but everything is growing back nicely. My eyelashes and nice and long not quite as thick as before but pretty darn good. I am hating how often I have to shave my legs though lol
-
A'ight...here you go. This is from a conference I attended this weekend. I was asked, at the last minute, to provide the "inspirational thought" for the luncheon. Ugh...
-
-
Dammit...trying it again

-
Looking great Martha!
-

Here's another from the same conference. My friend and I are doing some comedy improv...we are throwing midgets in an olympic competition (apologies for the un-pc-ness...that's the nature of comedy improv).
As you can see, my hair is coming in nicely, but it's naturually fine and thin, so you can still see my scalp. Nevertheless, I'm still diggin' being topless!
-
Thanks, MamaV!
-
marthah, you look great!
-
Awesome, Martha!!!
-
WooooHoooo Awesome Martha, Looking great girl :-)
-
Looking Great Martha and Luvrving
-
Looking good Martha. How many weeks PFC are you?
-
martha, you look great! i wish i had hair like yours right now.

RVing, your hair is coming in great too! you look so good.
-
survivor11 you made me smile! And I needed that, have had a bad weekend and been really moody, I go tomorrow for a ct scan and nervous about that. Thank you!
Martha you look great! I love being wigless!!!
-
I work with the public and I have had 100's of questions. Why did I cut my hair? What was I thinking? etc. etc.
Why cant people just mind their own business?!
-
Terri I found your pics, I love you long hair, but girl you rock that bald head! You look great!
