Target Merona Ruffle Shirred Tank Tops

Options

I just bought these tops for $6.00 and they provide excellent coverage. The neck and underarm area are high cut, so there is no gaping anywhere. I have been so self conscious about finding the best tops that flatter and cover up.

And they are comfortable. I thought maybe someone else might also be looking for tops that covered up and were still flattering.

I just looked at them online and they are cute.  Did you buy them in the store or online?

Those are really cute. Do you go flat when you wear them? We're having a heat wave where I am and doing anything active outside would be much more comfortable without any forms at all. A tank with ruffles like that seems as if it would obscure the flatness a bit. I have a friend who's really flat-chested who's always encouraging me to go flat, but she doesn't quite realize how flat no breasts at all can be.

I bought several of these tanks from Target and go flat in them.  I had to try on every one I bought though because I found the sizing to be inconsistent.  The neckline also varies.  Some of them don't gap at all when I bend over, no matter how I position my shoulders and arms.  Some of them gap if I bend over and don't remember to keep my shoulders back so with those I wear a very light gauze scarf which works out well.  I also wear them under other tops and that's still cooler than wearing a bra and forms.  It has been very hot here too and they are nice and cool.

Sorry for the delayed response, I have been away for awhile. I bought them in store, however I first saw them online. They still have them, I checked online today and they still have them.

I usually wear these with my homemade foobs (a body poof stuffed inside each cup) and I feel good. I have tried to wear them without any foobs,  however, I feel too flat for comfort when I venture outdoors.

Gaping can be a factor if you bend head first instead of squatting, however it is not as bad with other tanks.

the body poofs sound like something I might like to try. I totally hate the silicone inserts and the bras. would love to find something in a top with lots and lots of ruffles to help balance my totally boobless look.

The poof is one of those bath mesh poofs that are made to use with a body wash instead of a wash cloth.  I also use poofs instead of my prostheses before I decided to do reconstruction.

Thankfully there are a few good styles in fashion this year that can be worn without a prosthesis. I bought a couple of these ruffled tank tops as well. I only recently had my mastectomy. I am definately not having reconstruction and am considering not using any prosthesis. I am so glad that I am not the only one who has considered this to be an option. I can't find the post right now - but thatnk you to the woman who wrote that 80% of the time she doesn't wear the prosthesis and just goes flat.
