Anyone have any experience with having to have PT on neck, shoulder and arm on LE side for a ruptured disc at C6-C7.   I am to start this soon.   I am worried about the effect on the LE.

Please post with info if you have any knowledge or experience.  Thank you in advance!!!!

I'm in the midst of PT for c5-c7 herniations. I'm getting my PT at the rehab center of a major cancer hospital where I have received LE therapy and OT. My physical therapist is working on the PT side of things, but she is a LTx as well which is terrific because she keeps the LE in mind when she treats me. (for example, when I started getting some trunk swelling with the exercises, she whipped out the kineseotape and the swelling went down.).

This is in stark contrast to the PT I saw after I had rotator cuff surgery on my non-LE arm. That PT had me doing Theraband exercises that involved my LE arm, insisting it was ok as long as I wore compression on my LE side. Turned out not to be true, alas.

    PM me is you want.

I went into PT somewhat skeptical, but It really has helped. If

KSI,   THanks for responding.   I like that your therapist also know about LE.   I am sure the one doing mine will not be trained in LE but they do have 3  on staff that are but they do not do the PT for neck herniations so may they will consult with mine on this.  I will ask when I go for evaluation on Nov 29th.

Thanks again,  I am glad to know it is doable if done right!!!!
