TSA & the radiation issue

New member to the club that noone wants to be in, this site is amazing!!!! 

I wanted to bring up a BIG concern that noone is talking about. Since more and more of us,  breast cancer survivors are being chosen for additional screenings. We just cringe and go through it, but what about the TSA agents themselves? They are around these radiation machines day in and day out without any safety protections? Dose after dose after dose.

After being chosen for additional screening, I asked one of the TSA agents (a young girl, who was pregnant) standing next to one of these HUGE radiating machines, if they give them anything for their safety, management does not, she was even scared to talk to me about it. 

No TSA agent is allowed to wear anything that would protect them from the effects of accumulating radiation. She was incredibly kind and sweet to me, but now I'm worried about her and all of the TSA agents, has anyone thought of them, all across the nation?

She told me that she is worried for her friends/co workers who are being diagnosed with breast cancer, brain cancer, lung cancer, skin cancer all around her. She is concerned for her own health and the health of her unborn child but she is forced to stand just a few feet away from this machine.

I have heard scientist and radiologist all over the radio saying radiation accumulates, who is caring about the public servents that are trying to keep us safe, who is keeping them safe?

I think the least serious issue is being talked about, a naked image that blurs out our face but what about the radiation concerns. This is not just about us,  what about them?
