After the lumpectomy (couple of weeks ago) had no pain in my breast at all. Today it has started to hurt for the first time. Hubby thinks it is where it is healing. I get this maddening itch that seems to come from under the skin and it is a cross between an itch and a sting! Also little red dots have appeared near quite near to the wound. It is nerve damage do you think? xx

Bexybexy, how do you feel otherwise? The "little red dots" make me a little concerned. If you start to feel at all ill go to the ER and make sure there's no infection involved.

I hope all is well with you. Best of luck.

I feel ok in myself. I will ring the nurse tomorrow to make sure as if this is a common problem she will tell me. xxxx

they look a lot lighter today you can barely see them and there is brusing in the same area so it is probably to do with that. I am seeing the consultant on thursday anyway and will keep an eye on them until then xxx

I had some red spots around my lumpectomy incision that showed up shortly after surgery.  They looked to me like they were the result of pressure from some kind of surgical instrument.

Yeah that's what I think mine is too. It is just starting to feel tender now which the surgeon said was normal it means the nerves are reconnecting and it is on the mend.
