I had just had my 40th birthday and felt like I had officially left the "young" years, although I know that 40 is still very young. My aunt was 46 when diagnosed. My cousin was 57 when diagnosed. My grandmother was - I want to say around 65? I had no idea that any of these family members had breast cancer until I was diagnosed. I tested BRCA negative with all of that in my family.
-
Diagnosed on 9/15/11.
Will be getting new foobs for my 61st birthday in November! Woot!
Mom was 67 when she was diagnosed. She was a 20-year breast cancer survivor when she passed in 2009 of Parkinson's-related illnesses.

I am 29 and was diagnosed on October 7, 2011. My lumpectomy went well. I am er+, node-, brca1+ No one in my family has ever had BC. Ovarian cancer is what my grandmother passed from. I just did my first treatment of TC on Thursday. It went pretty well but the lack of energy is terrible. I love food and having everything taste like crud is just brutal for me
. I found a lump during a sbe. My onc also put me in menopause to help preserve my fertility and the hot flashes are horrible!!
-
Diagnosed at 48 and am not 57. I had a biopsy recently and was diagnosed with ADH. I am in the process of considering a BMX.
My aunt had BC and my sister did also. I tested negative for brca 1 and 2. Another Aunt had ovarian cancer and colon. All hormonal cancers. My mother had no history of cancer. (Just pre-cancerous cells of the uterus.)
-
Diagnosed at 54 here ....
-
First diagnosis at age 32 and a recurrance at 55.
-
I'm 31 and was diagnosed last October, 2 weeks before my wedding.

-
I was(and am) 39.
-
I guess as horrible as it is, I can call myself fortunate compared to all these "young" women talking about their age at diagnosis...........I was 76, it was still hard, because all the "strengths" of youth are gone , but at least I was older before dealing with all the horrors of cancer.
I wish you all the best....................hugs, and prayers
-
Diagnosed on 10/18/11, 12 days before my 63rd birthday. Feeling almost normal now, and getting used to the periodic anxiety and fear attacks. They come less and less.
-
I was 34 the first time and 53 the second (this) time.
-
I was 38 - diagnosed Stage IV
-
I was age 41, single mom three kids. Now age 52 living with my daughter.
-
I was 38 and wish I had been diagnosed earlier. My older sister had it at the same time but was much more advanced. She passed in January 2011.
