Wow it has been a long time...
After finally retrieving my password, I was able to log on again. I went straight to my old PMs because I wanted to read some of the many, many PM's Nicki and I shared. I saw so many names of sisters who are no longer here.
I did not know that Nicki was at the beginning of a new trail, a beautiful, peaceful trail that leads to a waterfall in an opening of the forest. There, Distored Humor is waiting for her. She will climb on and ride - free of pain, worry and every trace of cancer. She won't be alone. All those who have gone before her are waiting... and they will keep watch over our circle from the stars.
Nicki was one of my first friends here. She is strong, funny, sassy and a joy to know. I hate we are losing her, but I don't want her to suffer anymore either. This is so sad.
May she feel the peace of God by her side now and may He bless Terry and her family at this very hard time.
Nicki- you are forever and it will never be goodbye.
I love you,
g

Ride little palimino, ride till you reach the other side where nothing can ever cause you pain or sadness. Your beautiful words and spirit will forever live on. Prayers for you and your family Nicki, may you all find peace in this sorrowful time.

Nicki, About five years ago I reached out in the early A.M. hours to Illinois ladies, looking for help and companionship before going through the chemo journey. You were the very first response to my plea for help and I have never forgotten all the encouragement that you offered. Thank you so much. It was a very special treat to get to meet you at JanClare's house at the very first Illinois ladies' gathering. My thoughts and prayers are with you now. Hugs!

Nicki .. thinking of you today and hoping you are without pain and are at peace.
I miss you and love you,

Safe journey Nicki to the land of peace and joy, of cloudless skies .... Thank you so much for all your words when a scared little girl first cane here and you said...don't worry, honey...you can do this and I will help. I never forgot.
Chemosabi rides....forever. -
HI Nicki! It is so good to see so many of the "original Illinois girls" here with their messages of good will. I remember you in the early days (five years ago) and you told me you knew about Gillson Park in Wilmette. I liked walking there and so also did you! I hope this finds you at peace and painless. You are one proud nurse and you gave so much good care to others. I hope you are getting the most compassionate care now from others.

Nicki, many years ago you invited me to "join" the Wagon Girls. You gals had so much to say that I couldn't keep up with you.
I knew this day would come, but, as usual, I go into DeNile with the hopes it just all goes away. You, dear friend, have been an inspiration to ALL. You have been so strong, fought so hard and now it's time to take that last ride. I pray that your ride will be easy, no storms, and you see the most awesome and peaceful place that God has waiting for you.
There have been so many women that had to leave us and I know they will embrace you with so much love.
We love you, Nicki, AKA Chemosabi and Paliminoridesagain.
