A forum for marital breakups, etc.?????
While it would not apply to me, as I am a widow, it has come to my attention, more and more of late, that on many of the individual threads, there are posts being posted by many of our sisters here, of husbands walking out on them during their cancer recurrences, or just abandoning them emotionally. I think if there was a central place for them to post, they all could help each other and see they are not alone in the added pain they are all facing. Of course, we would all still be there for them and help them in any way we can, but they all seem so segregated from each other at a time when I think they all need to be together. Can you do up a thread for just this sort of problem? Thank you for your time and consideration.

Thank you for the suggestion, Linda! We'll consider where such a forum might best be placed on the boards.

Saw an article on that. They call it The Cancer Kiss Off. How crude. And heartbreaking.

Linda, your idea inspired us to update the name and description of an existing forum to be sure it is welcoming to members dealing with breakups, abandonment and other relationship issues.Thank you!

No offense, but you just changed the Depression forum's name to include Relationships.
I believe the OP (and I) think that we need a separate forum just for abandonment, or emotional abandonment issues. The Depression forum covers a vast number of topics. Is this what you thought, LRM216?
Thanks for letting me put in my 2 cents.

I agree. I belong to a menopausal forum but it is not the same issues we face here with BC. I just made a very long vent post/reply on the above named index. I think there are many facing marital and relationship problems while fighting BC. There might be some desperate girls out there and the issue gets lost in the index thread. Just my 2 cents since I am dealing with these issues and welcome any reply or advice. Thanks.

I think the issue of abandonment/marital problems/breakups is large enough to carry it's own thread. As I said, it serves no purpose to me at this point in my life being a widow, but my heart just breaks in half for each of these gals that are going through this while fighting for their lives at the same time. While I do not make light of depression, another life altering situation, I think with all the different sisters on so many different threads, and of so many different stages - they do not find each other at a time when they most need each other, and a separate forum would be ideal, if possible. Thank you to all, and to the Moderators for caring about the ladies going through this horrendous situation.

Looneymom - I agree. Any relationship issues that are posted under "depression" become lost after a while. In that forum, some of the responses are from those who say "leave him". But often, it's not that easy.
It's good to hear how our b/c sisters are handling their situation and give us their shoulders to lean on. Therapists sometimes just don't get it. Having Stage IV w/mets, like I am, and working full time with limited funds, I can't afford the time or the money to try different therapists/psychologists, etc., to find "the right one". I"ve done it in the past for different reasons, so I know.
Thanks all you guys and moderators for taking interest in this topic.
