Bone mets in ankle?

Can this happen? I read only 1% of bone mets happen below knee and below elbow. Anyone here have mets to those parts of their body?
Pain in ankle bone - not joint - worse in AM - when I first awake can hardly walk - after a while I can limp but it's still painful. Sitting here it is a dull ache. Doesn't bother me all the time during the day....just mostly in the morning. Going on for about a month. Going to ask regular doc in December at regular visit to x-ray it if it is still bothering me. I'm beginning to think I'm a hypochondriac...almost 4 years out....when do we ever stop worrying?
Just wondering about above question.

Pain that is worse in the mornings is often arthritis. Have them do an x-ray for you.

Wrsmith I have mets to my tibia but I agree with faith that it sounds like arthritis. I think it needs to be checked but I don't think you need to worry.
