should I worry about numbness?
I had a single mx 3 yrs ago w/lymph node removal (about 17 or so?). Lately, if I sleep too much on that side or if I'm driving that arm gets numb.
In bed, I'm ok after I roll over to my other side..
However, I am concerned that, when I drive for more than 1/2 hour, my arm numbs down to the fingers. Putting it on an arm rest doesn't help like it used to. I even put a small light pillow between my arm and my side while driving and that seems to help.
I don't want to start wearing my arm compressor for anything other than flying (which I seldom do). Should I be concerned?
I know that compared to what a lot of you are going through this may seem insignificant, but I want to prevent further aggravation if necessary.
Thank you for any advice.

Amontro, this doesn't sound like LE to me but it does sound like you might have a pinched nerve (or nerves). I'm not a doc so you should see yours to check it out.
Best of luck.

Check with a neurologist - I had similar symptoms, a simple test and a set of routine isometric exercises resolved the issue within a few short weeks. I still do them on occasion when I overdo.
Wish you the best!

Amontro, soon after I had axillary dissection for my first round with BC, I remember either hearing or reading that you shouldn't sleep or lie on the arm where lymph nodes have been removed. Guess this kind of falls into the category of avoiding constriction.
After surgery, the axillary incision and surrounding area has always given me a lot of discomfort. Wearing a bra or anything that seems to constrict in that area can make my arm ache and sometimes tingle slightly and can extend down to my fingers. If I remove the bra, the sensation goes away almost immediately. I see a chiropractor regularly and if my neck and back are out of alignment, it also can make my arm feel weird and fingers get slightly numb. Pinched nerves can cause a lot of symptoms for sure.
