    artsee--I had extreme reactions to the Al's so, even though I'm well past menopause I'm on tamoxifen.  Some not so nice se's but doable compared to the pain of the others.

    chabba - I too am on Arimidex  - did you check out the SE threads - they really helped me.  I don't know which was the most difficult SE for you, mine was JOINT PAIN - and when I went gluten free, and started seeing an acupuncturist - they went!  I went from taking about 10 ibeprofen a day to none. 

    Still don't exercise enough - and would LOVE to lose weight - seems almost impossible now.  ;(

    At my appointment yesterday my Dr. wanted to put me on a different AI. But I said I'll suck it up because Femara seems to be doing it's job. I have only 1 1/2 year left on it. Ya...only.

    Everything went well and labs were where they were supposed to be.

    I think we need to 'bump' this thread before it falls asleep. Where is everyone? Please keep posting your stuff and tell us what you are into at the present time. I believe all the neat things we do is a huge "Therapy workshop". It's therapy for me anyway. It puts me into the wonderful world of creativity and I don't focus so much on 'ME'.

    Sunflower......Have you checked out 'Mel Stabins' work? Books and website. He's such an awesome figure watercolorists and LOVE how loose he is. Makes you want to jump in and splash around.Laughing My mission in life is to be 'loose as goose'. lol

    I am trying out Sculpey right now. I seem to be good at forming believable features and stuff. I want to make bigger ones, but how do I cook them? Anyone work with Sculpey before? I find it expensive, though you fill the fatter parts with foil paper to bulk it up before you cover it all with the clay.

    Barbe  I didn't know you were a watercolor artist too!!!  I am a REAL ( very new) beginner.  Susan is wonderful.  She lives near me, and the MA Cultural Council often supports her to do workshops in the small towns.  She paints a picture of a well known building in town.  As most of the towns were settled in the !760's or earlier - there's alwasy one "gem" in town - the workshop lasts about 2 hours, and she paints, and tell us what she's doing.  THEN, she present the town with the "REAL" watercolor masterpiece she has created in her studio - spending a lot, lot longer than 2 hours, of the same buidling.  Then, we can make notecards, or postcards of the finished piece, and sell as a fundraiser for various town projects.  I LOVE her style.

    You can also , I think, see videos of her TV program Reflections Through Watercolor which is on our local PBS station.

    I try ANY art form. Some I already have supplies for. Others I take classes in when I can find them.

    Sunflower...I make note cards from every painting that I do. I sell them at local gift shops. I bought a good Laser printer and walla, nice note cards. I love my digital camera and phtoshop.

    GirlFriday,

    I loved the crochet dress. I made one 35 years ago for my daughter and now my granddaughter wears it. How cool is that!

    Speaking of my granddaughter, I am just putting finishing touches to a painting of her. (16 x 20 inches)

    Oh, and remember the birthday card I did of the 3 year old. That will be my next project.

    Very adorable. Who is getting the painting painterly...you or your daughter? A wonderful keepsake that is so special from grandma. I've done 3 of my 7 grandchildren. I procrastinate when it comes to portraits. Today on a bus trip I took along ' The human figure' book. It always looks so easy on paper but......not so for me.

    To all you photographers out there, I just discovered a new photo paper

    Ink Jet coated canvas from IBM..The photos I just printed look like paintings..

    and it only costs $3 for ten sheets...I just went out and bought a bunch at Fry's

    Artsee, I am still out here, but have been out of commission this past week with BMX.  Hoping to get a little painting done in the next few days and will try to post something here real soon.  Would love to see something inspirational from the rest of you artists out there!!!

    Lisa, to-date I haven't printed my own photos as I KNOW the quality of picture and non-fading capability just isn't the same on a smaller printer. BUT, I am interested in the "canvas" look. Can it be bent around a frame like a professional canvas?

    Barbe, it says it is coated canvas...and it is flexible, maybe not to the extent of other canvas..

    Hi, all - just wanted to say hello.  I've registered for 6 one day watercolor workshops, over the next few months, with a watercolorist in Ashfield MA.  SO excited.  9 to 5 for 3 weekends - can register for more if I want to.

    Also LOVING the class I'm taking in Botanical Art Drawing & Painting.  We're still in the drawing stage, will be using what is referred to as "dry brush" watercolors.  Bought my Winsor & Newton Series 7 brushes ;)  Boy, at they ever little - anybody every seen an 000 brush?  Really small.

    Hey there, Just got back today from a 7 day watercolor workshop. It was heavenly. Went to a 'Folk School" in Door county Wi. and was fed food like I've never had before. Breakfast, lunch and dinner every day. Who wouldn't get used to that right? It was all so stress-less til I noticed a breast issue on Thursday night and then of course was freaked out. I'll be calling the Dr. on Monday which can't come soon enough.

    I'm happy you are all still doing your 'ART', all of you.

    Sun....I have NEVER heard of a 000 brush. In my water color experiences we scan not use anything less than a # 6. Loose and simple. Yeah right!

    Artsee - I do the 'looseygoosey' in landscape painting, and in Botanical Art, about the largest brush used ( W&N Kolinsky #2) - the 000 is amazing...tiniest little dots you can even imagine.
