Carrie: I'm sure it's a relief just to have the date lined up. I know what you mean about the "happy dart;" I'm a nervous wreck before surgery, too. (Tomorrow I've got a colonoscopy and I ain't too happy 'bout that, neither--and this liquid diet I'm on today doesn't agree with me--BUT in the grand scheme o' things, as you ladies have taught me here--it's just a little pebble in the water.)

Cowgirl: Somebody got up on the wrong side o' the bed this morning? ;-)

    Greg,
The worst part about the colonoscopy is the prep! They will start an IV and give you the happy juice and I had no pain during or after. I am sending prayers for you that they find nothing !!!

    HUGS!

Greg- Carrie has been begging for this for weeks, now she is playing chicken, plus hog tieing is really fun! And you my bud will get the Best Drugs in the World Tomorrow! I am so jealous of the drugs, not the crappy(ain't that the word for it) prep!

Adding you to my prayer list, plus DW she will have to put up with the happiest man on earth!

Carrie I love that image I must have it!

Ladies: You gals are just too kind for words! And I love the black, err, brown humor (gross!) ;-0

What with the liquid diet and the phospo juice (or whatever the heck it's called) I feel as if I've dropped around 10 lbs!

And Cowgirl I hope, for my DW's sake, that you're right about the drugs making me happy; my wife's been complaining that I've been acting grumpy lately. Maybe I can get them to give me a double-dose...

Uh, oh...Hate to cut this short, but Ma Nature is knocking!

    Peace,
    Greg

You have only just begun to poop! White lace and promises!

Okay Greg I actually will tell you if I could chose a drug to be addicted to the one you get tomorrow is it! I was happy the whole day long, I had two polyps and bled, I was grinning from ear to ear!

Memories from the corners of my mind, misty water color memeroies of the times we left behind(come back drug).

    She will adore you tomorrow

Hi All: Back in action after the colonoscopy (couldn't they have made that easier to spell?!) Thanks for all your warm wishes (and Carrie, the virtual TP came in *real* handy! -- And btw, LOVE the new kitty pic.)

Carrie: Definitely, w/o question, the prep (i.e., day before) part of the process was the worst. As for the actual procedure I am happy to say I dona remember a t'ing, b/c I was sleeping like a baby.

I also have no recollection of being in post-op when my wife said we met with the doc/nurse to go over everthing (including the photos--let me know if you'd like closeups of my hemorrhoids (sp?)). Anyhow, DW says that I was cracking jokes and had the doc/nurse in stiches: when they told me I couldn't drive for 24 hrs I apparently complained I had a NASCAR race (and the gullible nurse believed me); when the doc said to take it easy I apparently frowned and said I had plans to take my DW ballroom dancing; and when they showed my the pics of my derrier/hemorrhoids/etc., I apparently told the nurse I wanted several 8x10s to send to my friends and family. So, Cowgirl, you *was* right--they were some o' the best drugs I ever did take (gotta get ahold of that medical record and find out the name!)

Best of all, the results were all negative--free and clear!

Thanks again for your thoughts, concerns and humor!!

    Best,
    Greg

Wonderful news Greg!!! I am not surprised at your behavior, because I asked if I could drive too, and my DR said the federal laws says No!

There is something to feeling so good and yet seeing graphic pictures, and having not a care in the world!

Carrie: I love your pictures(icons). The toilet paper one is my favorite! Good luck in your surgery next week.
Greg: You could not have asked for a better support group! Glad all is well, hopefully you will be feeling all better soon.

Joanna just had her exchange surgery today and it all went without any problems. I like what i see so far!
She will probably share more especific details later.
She also had a PET Scan and CAT Scan last tuesday (routine base test) and all came back fine, thank goodness. However, the prep for the test were not fun. It included injecting and drinking all sorts of liquids.. Well, it was quite a busy week. They wiped the nice tan she had from Mexico right out!
    Have a great weekend.

That's pretty darn funny just reading it, I can't imagine what it was like for them hearing you in person. Glad it went smooth for you. Hopefully all checks out just as well.

The animated t.p. roll was a nice touch Carrie

Hi guys and gals, so pleased to hear of the clear scans and successful surgery. My lymphedema is improving too. I have my old lady hand back now not the podgy baby hand. My therapist will probably still have me wrapping for weeks though.
    Carrie I loved the pig.

    Hey, everybody--happy Monday.

Carrie: your "mooning" graphic was spot on--and brought back (fond?) memories of my early teenage years...

Mags, thanks for the many graphics and glad to hear your LD is under control.

Alex: Nice to hear from you, again. Glad to hear things are progressing and about the negative test results. What are you guys doing to celebrate? ;-)

Shemp: What's new in your world, my man?

And, KariLynn, nice to see you becoming a more regular presence here.

    Best,
    Greg

Shemp: Just noticed I'm one (now, two) posts ahead of you (heh, heh.) Good thing even the content-less ones, count, no? (As you can see, I'm still feeling the effects of the anesthesia--how long can I use that as an excuse, Cowgirl?)

Yeah, I noticed I was ahead and began to feel like a post whore, so I thought I'd let you catch up. Wife is down to 8 rads as of this afternoon. Aside from fatigue, she's taken this very well. She's more excited everyday by the prospect of being closer to the finish line. She's already working on plans for her end-of-treatment/belated birthday party. She took the bull by the horns on this one, so I'm letting her run with it.

Shemp - where are youuuuu ---

Greg - I feel I am still under the effects of my last surgery 5 years ago

it accounts for my off the wall comments and confusion, and the fact I can never find my car in the parking lot when I go shopping - thats my story and I'm sticking to it !!

Mags - the gifs are addictive aren't they ? The little goat you posted looks like cowgirls goat casper.

Okay greg reminded me of a story from my younger days-

Denise, myself and a girlfriend of ours were riding down the highway one day going to the mall. This girlfriend of ours is very pretty, was a model, flirty and a high strung

kind of girl, anyway there is a car of guys going down the highway too flirting with us and since we are going down a highway Denise and I are busy watching the road, all of the sudden our friend lets out a scream and starts crying,

when we look all these guys have their butts hanging out the windows except for the driver !!! Denise and I laughed so hard !!
