lump in armpit on the cancer side, please advise!

Sisters, I need your help. I found I have a swollen lump under my right armpit yesterday when I took a shower and then the doc from a walk-in clinic confirmed it is a lump this morning. I need to call the onc on Monday to make an appointment. The lump is on my same side of cancer. Just wondering if anybody experienced swollen lump nodes when they diagnosed. Please provide some information, such as if the organs are involved and how many nodes could be. I saw onc three weeks ago and he did not find anything but he went through examination pretty quick.

had a cold in last four days. Hope it is related to my cold, but cold would not make my armpit lymph nodes swollen, isn't it?

A little bit about my history, I was dx in Aug. 2010, had double mx, chemo and now I am still on herceptin and tamoxifen. 

Any information or advice is appreciated. I am so scared at this monent. Thanks so much for reading. Meg

    Don't freak out yet because it might not be anything. I had a similar situation. I had a lump in the armpit of the cancer side and it hurt. I was freaking. My onc sent me for a sono of the armpit and it turned out to be scar tissue from the sentinal node biopsy.

    Hi shadow2356, Thank you so much for the information and wishes. I will pray it is not cancer. I had herceptin influsion on my right side two days ago. Not sure if that has something to do with the swollen node. The surgeon took one sentinal node out but it is a little far away from where the armpit lump is.

    Hi Meglove, I would like to know what you found out about your lump. My sister was diagnose less than 2 years ago, had a lumpectomy and radiation to the right breast and last week she told me about a lump on her armpit same side she had her cancer. she has a mamogram and ultrasound schedule for monday but for now we are going crazy thinking it might be a reocurance.
