My mom died today
I saw her 11 days ago, i flew to atlanta from chicago and when i left i said I'll see you in 3 weeks...she didnt make it. When i saw her i knew it was the end, her breathing was labored, she couldnt eat much, she took her last breath this morning at home with my dad by her side. Married for 39 years, together for 46. She was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2006, a year later she was told it was gone. A year after that it came back in her bones, earlier this year it spread to her liver and now she's gone

My sister died 8 months ago on valentines day she was 42 and my best friend in the world. I understand how shocked and sad you feel, even when someone is very sick we seem to think they will live forever. Hospice.org has very helpful information for bereavement that helped me so much.

I am sorry you lost your mom, no matter how old we are , we feel orphans when they are gone in body, because her spirit will live in you and the children she had, she will be by your side protecting you because she loves you.
She gave an example pf how to face life and a illness, she was a fighter.

My deepest condolences to you! I flew to see my mom right after I got better from rads. Took her out to lunch on the 2nd, she died 6 months ago on the 12th. Like you, my mom's health went downhill and she passed away in 10 days. It was unbelieveable how one day she was there and then gone. I feel your pain. God Bless!
