Mediven and Customs
Has anyone ever had their Mediven garments held up in US Customs? I've been waiting for my second sleeve & glove for 2 weeks now--looking forward to a black set instead of ugly beige. Fitter received glove but not sleeve and asked Medi to track. We were told last week that it's stuck in customs! Such a bummer because they don't dry overnight and I have to remember to put in dryer on air dry first thing when I get up every day to have them dry before I leave for work.
I'm excited that this forum has given me a ton of new resources to try when I need to replace these down the line!

Garnet, I have a custom Juzo, and I do remember that they were in customs for a while. Hopefully they'll release them soon.
Binney and I met with the head of Mediusa, and he's a wonderful guy: really aware of LE and its treatment. Happened to meet him at the NLN conference, and showed him my medi 95 off the shelf glove, and he's been amazing to work with since.
He gave a lecture on truncal LE, and Binney and I helped review his slides, so he got us tickets to the conference.

Thanks, Kira. It's definitely nice to know that some in the industry are knowledgeable and concerned (unlike some of the local fitters I've recently dealt with).
No word yet on the sleeve, which is kind of a bummer since I'm going camping tomorrow and will have to do with one sleeve/glove and won't be able to wash until I get back on Saturday. But I'll wear garden gloves over for set-up, campfire, etc. so it s/b manageable.

Brazos, I wonder if our Medi products are held up in the same shipment...seems pretty likely.
Back from camping & have to say that wearing garden glove over helped keep gl/sl clean--when I washed them tonight, water wasn't as dirty as some normal work days (& I work in an office!)
