Long May He Run

Girls,

Thought you all would appreciate this story, especially those of you who run.  My best friend from the Army now lives in Maryland and coaches elite runners from around the world.  Recently, she informed me that her fastest runner was going to run the Army Ten Miler (the race was yesterday), and that he was going to run it in honor of my husband.  There were 30,000 registered runners, and guess what, he won it!!!!!  I am so thrilled, and so are my boys.  I've met many of her runners, including this one, and you wouldn't believe how humble they are.  I rubbed elbows with an olympic marathoner at her house, the woman with the world's fastest two mile time (8:49!), and a participant in the 1600 meters in Sidney.  They were the nicest people.  I am honored and humbled to know them!
