You know it never rains in southern California..........

But, it snows in Colorado, and it began about the time you left!!! Four inches overnight, Chrissy!
You got out of here just in time! Miss you!
Lane

Chrissy, I am now just catching up and am simply amazed. Someone wrote that you are like a celebrity and I agree. I hope you remember me when you are famous lol. I loved the Texas photos and cannot wait for the LA photos.
btw, East Coast girls have got it too and Chrissy knows it! I love you Chrissy and miss you everyday. Steve and I talk about you often, still! Enjoy!!!
Hugs♥,

Well East coast girls are hip
I really dig those styles they wear
And the Southern girls with the way they talk
They knock me out when I'm down there
The Mid-West farmer's daughters really make you feel alright
And the Northern girls with the way they kiss
They keep their boyfriends warm at night
I wish they all could be California
I wish they all could be California
I wish they all could be California girls
The West coast has the sunshine
And the girls all get so tanned
I dig a french bikini on Hawaii island
Dolls by a palm tree in the sand
I been all around this great big world
And I seen all kinds of girls
Yeah, but I couldn't wait to get back in the states
Back to the cutest girls in the world
I wish they all could be California
I wish they all could be California
I wish they all could be California girls -
I just love California...
-
I'd be safe and warm
if I was in LA
California dreaming
On such a winter's day......
Wish I were with you and the gals partying in LA, Chrissy!
-
---------yeah California Girls--------

California IS awesome, I have been there twice but it is now even awesomer with Chrissy B in town
..... I would give away my first born to be in LA now ~jk!!
Lane, I so remember that sad feeling when she left my home and went to Amy Jo's but meeting her was such a blessing. I am feeling the love when reading her journey....this would make a great lifetime movie, no doubt!
-
and of course there's the Colorado Rocky Mountain high
I've seen it rainin' fire in the sky
The shadow from the starlight is softer than a lullaby -
We sing a song about Texas too! The Yellow rose of Texas - but Chrissy found out who that REALLY was!
Amy~ my daughter is at TAMU right now! small world!

My flight to Denver was uneventful and I dosed most of the way. I was blown away at the size of the Denver Airport and took full advantage of the aide that was on offer and got myself chaired down to the baggage claim area. There I was met by Lane and after a hug or two or three, we headed for the car, baggage in tow. Lane had planned a two day loop through the Rockies and an over night stay at a place called Glenwood Springs before heading back to her house.
We headed towards the Mountains all the while chatting ......... I felt as if I had known Lane for years! Very quickly the camera appeared in my hand and I began to click like a mad fool! Everywhere I turned there was beauty unsurpassed by anything that I had seen before. The colour of the Aspen was like looking at liquid gold pennies hanging from the tree limbs and standing in close proximity was the greens and grey/greens of the alpine spruce and pines ....... Just breathtaking!!!!!
It seemed that everywhere my eyes wandered there was colour! And oh what colour it was! The further we drove the more I clicked!
Lane had thoughfully prepared a picnic lunch that ended up being more a late lunch early dinner, so we stopped in a little roadside parking area and settled in to eat. There was a small stream running on the other side of a low stone wall and I couldn't resist taking pics of the area.
After eating our fill we continued on our journey toward Glenwood springs. We started to cross over a small stream which on enquiry, Lane informed me that it was a small rivelet that would eventually feed into the great Colorado River. We saw many of these along the way and it was amazing to think that something so large could begin with something so small.
On arrival in Glenwood Springs, we checked into our hotel where we shared a fabulous double room. It even had a private balcony overlooking the natural mineral springs pool. We decided to donn our swimsuits and walk over the road and go soak in the hot spring water .......... it was so hot to begin with that we had to ease our way in slowly but once in, we sat and soaked and chatted for an hour before enough was enough and we showered and headed once again for our room.
This is our hotel from the pool area.
We got organised and hopped into our respective beds as we were by this time feeling extremely sleepy and quite ready to hit the hay. As tired as we were, a conversation ensued until we both could talk no longer and fell into a deep sleep until the alarm went off in the morning.

Gina I laughed at your comment about the Yellow Rose of Texas and remember how we laughed at doing the newspaper interview at the Emily Morgan Hotel. haha For you non Texas Emily Morgan was the Yellow Rose of Texas and a prostitue that was used as a spi for the Mexican's in the fight against Texas. So we laughted and said we met at the Whore House for out interview. Now speaking of the interview it made the Sunday Paper and here is a link. They do not have the photo online but I think they published it in the paper version. Gina they do not sell the paper here in Gonzales any longer can you get a copy and mail it to Chrissy so she will have it?

ChrissyB, Enjoying the CO pictures. You picked the perfect time of year for your visit, to sample two seasons including our colorfull Fall. Waiting for your next installment. Have Fun!
-
Chrissy, Thanks for the pic's of Colorado - the area is gorgeous! Really, snow already?
-
Chrissy, what a wonderful trip/adventure you've had. I grew up near the Ozarks. The trees are so beautiful in the fall. The colors are incredible! The Aspens in Colorado are amazing, too. My sister lives in Colorado. I'm very familiar with Glenwood Springs. How did you like the sulpher smell from the hot springs? LOL!
Las Vegas is really something to see if you ever get a chance. I could show you the sights, and there's plenty to see.

Awesome article about awesome people!
-
Well this might be what Chrissy thought as a vacation to see some bucket list stuff, but I have to tell you, Chrissy is an amazing person traveling like a fairy godmother with a wand full of magic dust. Poof she comes in, sprinkles her magic dust on you, and when she leaves in a flash, somehow you know something special just happened. Her magic dust flows like a ribbon behind her, playing in the wind from city to city. Look up at night at the stars that you know she is looking at (taking a picture of) and let one of cancer's blessing find you safe - the blessing of new friends, forever.
-
Wonderful article....I need to print it out!!!
-
She was in San Diego for the day..what fun...
