Sorry June I've been gone most of the day and just saw your post. It took me awhile to find it, but I did. Im a stubborn kinda gal and wasnt gonna give up until I did, lol.
Well my steak dinner turned into an auction day instead. I havent been able to go since last year so it was nice to be back among the excitement of finding the perfect treasure at the right price. Hubs found tons of goodies so I was glad for him. I got my bowls and thats what I wanted most of all. There were several other treasures but I wasnt wanting to spend that much. I did find out about a collectable that I have never seen. They are porclean ladies heads and they are vases. Wow they went for $20.-$40.00 a head. They are pretty cool looking. I wanted one so bad but wasnt going to shell out the bid they wanted for a 3" tall head when I dont know much about them.
Momoftwo, I do know that Effexer is very safe to take. I dont know if it will help but atleast its something bring up to the MO. Bonus is it does help with the hot flashes somewhat. That is what I take it for. I did have to bump up to 75 mg for that.
Well my tammi girls take care and have a fun filled Sunday night. Im gonna loose myself in some cheap reality tv!

Well tammi sistas the sexy nightie and freak on is off. What a day so far. Took the dog to MIL to keep, went to my parents to check on my Dad and then headed to Austin. Went to Home Depot and got some stuff DH needed when we got in the car he says his stomach does not feel good and maybe we need to find something to eat as it was about 1:30. So we go eat and head to the hotel. Get checked in and he goes to the bathroom and lays down and is going down hill fast. Then my mom calls and my dad wants me to come home he wants to talk to me. She tried to tell him we were in Austin he said he knew and wanted me to come home. So I tried to talk to him on the phone but he is very hard of hearing and we could not have a conversation so mom tries to tell what I am saying and he gets calmed down. I get off the phone and tell DH and he says we need to go home. Dad has always been one to do things for everyone else and would never ask for me to cancel my plans to come home for him so DH says our anniversary can wait and I don't feel good and you need to be with your Dad. So we check out. We probably spent a whole 45 minutes at the hotel. On the way out I grabbed the soap and DH laughed and said that is the most expensive soap you will ever have. So got home but Dad has been asleep so I told mom to wake him up and get him to take his meds and something eat and call me and I'll come back over. In the meantime I needed to get home to take care of DH who was vomiting while I was away at my parents house.
Glad you gals got to read the article that was in the newspaper. talked to one of my brothers who lives in SA and he said the article was good and he really liked the picture that they published. he is going to send the paper copy to me.
-
Sherry - Wow! What a day you have had. So sorry it did not work out. Hope DH is feeling better and you can get things settled with your dad. Maybe you guys and try again next week end. ((((HUGS))))
-
I'm so sorry that your day turned out that way....what a bummer! I hope that your DH is feeling better soon, that you don't get it, and that things calm down with your dad.
-
Oh Sherry so sorry you had to put your celebration on hold......I hope your DH feels better soon and your conversation with Dad goes well......thinking of you....
Paula it sounds like you had a fun day.....so glad! Did you google the heads yet? I think I am going to check that out now.....
Happy Sunday and nite nite ladies I am bushed.....
-
Yes June I did. Wow is all I have to say. Now I can see how the bidding went the way it did.
(((((Sherry)))))) I know things didnt go as you had planned. I am happy to see how much you are there for your mom and dad. I also love how much your hubby loves and cares for them also. You both are what family is all about!

well ladies thanks for all your thoughts and comments. Things aren't so good with Dad. He was fine this morning when I went by to see him before we left. He was in a good mood and told us to have a good time. One of my brothers and his girlfriend were there and left right before we did. Once my mom called and we had the somewhat conversation on the phone he went to sleep and has been pretty much unresponsive to us ever since. Another one of my brothers came by while I was there and the three of us finally got him to take some of his meds, but mom had to threaten to call EMS to take him to the hospital. So he finally took just a few of them. I have a holiday tomorrow so first thing I have to ck on Dad and then call the Dr's according to what is going on and my other brother that was there tonight is going to check on Hospice tomorrow because we both told mom it was time to get some help and she agreed. Mom did fine while we were there but when we left she started crying. I felt so bad in leaving her but I needed to get home to check on DH. He is worse so gave him several meds, hope he is feeling better tomorrow. I'm bushed but don't think I'll sleep very well tonight but am going to give it a try with a sleep aide.

hi ladies - has anyone had stomach pain while on Tamoxifen? I'm not talking nausea or constipation, but upper stomach pain? I'm the one who has had heartburn pretty consistently for about a week (starting about 3 weeks after starting Tam), and last night the stomach pain went on for a couple of hours. Like heartburn but in the upper stomach. I was worried it was a blood clot in the stomach but it finally did go away. Anyone???
-
bc- I havent had stomach issues with the tammoxifen. I havent had any problems other then hot flashes and joint pain. Call your MO and see if this is an issue that needs checked out. I hope you get som answers soon.
-
Sherry I am so sorry you are having to go through this and Dad is not doing good, I am praying for you and your family!!! Hugs pretty lady!
BC- I have developed ulcers about 5 months back and I have been on and off Prilosec. I was losing my Dad and not sure if that is what caused them or Tami. Needless to say it really helps! They started me on a month in the morning and evening! Try it, it cant hurt!
-
Good morning all - I had such a busy weekend, I didn't get a chance to check in. Sherry so sorry you have so much to deal with right now. I have added your father and your family to my prayer list. momoftwo I take celexa. It's a milder anti-depressant and safe with tamoxifen. Ask you doc about it.
Everyone else - I wasn't going to actually hit you with that nasty pillow - just want you to know I have it in case I need it! Ha ha!
Have a great day all!
Vicky

Okay so I just got back from getting this giant needle inserted into my heel, for Planter Fascitis......OUCH!!! My kids laughed at me today as I almost jumped off the table due to the pain factor. Lets hope it works and I can get back to my workout routine, it has been a long 3 months feeling like an old lady every time I get up to walk......
-
bc-I had stomach issues but mine was more neausea I would talk to your MO about it
just a quicky here as I am only running in. Thanks for all your prayers I do need them. DH woke me at 5Am and said I needed to take him to the ER he thought he was having a heart attack. So far all test say no heart attack but they do think something is going on with his heart. They admitted him into the hospital and the cardiologist will be by to see him this afternoon. He may have to so to SAn ANtonio and have a heart cath just not sure yet. Dad's PCP is out of town and will be back tomorrow and Dad has agreed to go see him and talk to him so I had to call the MO and tell them he was not coming today and would see Dr. Hisey tomorrow and then I'll call them and let them know if he will keep is appt for Next Monday. So off to the hospital again. Keep praying for me ladies. I'm exhausted.
