Profbee- I am so glad you are having an easier time of it. You prbably have such a strong tolerance compared to when you started. We are just going to say that the next two will be easier yet.

Pawprint- No words are enough to give comfort when a pet dies, I am so sorry.

Pawprint -- I am so sorry about your dog.  I know how hard it is, and I just want you to know I'm thinking of you and sending lots of hugs your way.

Profbee -- I would say "count your lucky stars" that it's not so bad.  I'm sure it's still working; it's just that you're coping with it much more easily.  Hope it continues like that for you.

Where's Carla??  Do I remember from awhile back that she was going away for a little while?  Chemo brain -- I get a little confused now and then.....

Hugs to everybody for a good weekend.

Hi profbee, glad it's going ok for you.  I had 6 rounds - first four no problems. 5 hit me hard then 6 floored me for three weeks. Still having after effects now. It does build up, i had slight nausea after 4 but took the tablets.  I found the worst thing then was the nasty taste and food being disgusting.

Hopefully you will be fine and sail through.

Oh, thanks friends.  That's great news.  I just can't wait for this part to be over--so lame that I'll lose my hair again--probably this weekend--after growing some nice fuzz these 2 months.  My son has been petting my head and sayin how it's growing.  I hate that I'm going to look "sick" again for him.  But, I'm in the home stretch!

Thursday, my doc said that I had a "complete pathological response" from the first round of chemo, so my prognosis is really great.  I'm trying really hard to believe that I have a long life to look forward to.  I'm hoping next month to get to a support group.  This month the regular support group meetings were cancelled at 2 local hospitals--get this--for special Breast Cancer Awareness Month events.  I couldn't believe my ears!  No, I don't want to sit and listen to a panel of doctors on BC treatments.  I would like to go talk to some other women who know where I've been.  ugh.  I guess I'm just feeling like I should be happy but for some reason I'm feelin more down lately--maybe it's seeing the end of treatment in sight?

Wow...guess I had more to say than I thought.  :)

    thanks guys!! :)

i really think that i am at the end of treatment besides the herceptin but i almost do feel the" letting my breath out " i can't wait to get done but then what will i do on my lunch break?? i know it sounds crazy.i look back at how scared we all were in the begining!! and how brave we were to keep going everyday when most of us had no other choice that now i have all these emotions about it.maybe i do need a trip or something to reflect about this journey...

thanks again for the kind words about my nikki girl! i had her for 15 great years. she truly was the best dog that i ever had. she was supose to be my husbands but she loved her mom best! even as painful as she was sometimes she would follow me out of the the room even if i was coming right back.she slept next to my bed on the floor. even when she had her choice to sleep in the bed when she was younger.she will truly be missed for years to come...

Hi profbee, the steroids made be having an effect on the way you feel.  You feel great for a couple of days then when they wear off you can come down quite a bit.

Pawprint, it's so hard to lose a member of the family and that's what are pets are.

Thanks, Bernie. I never considered the steroids.  I'm a pretty up person, so I was surprised a bit by my recent attitude--I just want to believe I'm safe, but finding it hard.  And, today my head fuzz that I loved SO much--2 months worth--coming out in clumps with this AC.  ugh.  I looked back and saw pics of my totally bald head and Im really going to miss this fuzz.  LOL.  Funny how so little becomes so much!

Axtella--YAY!!!!!  Hells to the YAY!!!!  Congrats on making it through!  33!  You warrior!!!!  Celebrate today.  Now what with me tomorrow.  :)

GORGEOUS weather here this weekend--crazy record-breaking 84 degree day at the beach here yesterday.  We finally made it to the beach in October!  LOL.  Such an awesome surprise of a weekend.  I thought I'd be calking my windows closed!  LOL.

I  see my RO on Friday.  I am terrified of this part of the process.  Dont want to do it.

Anyone having neuropathy?  My fingertips are still a bit numb and the bottom of my feet feel like there is a leather cover - I say I have hobbit feet!

Had a breast cancer speaker last week at a group I belong to  - she walked up to me and said "I used to go to the same barber as you do!"  Very fummy!

Merilee, actually I am dying to get back to work.  Have been doing some volunteer work at the school where my daughter teaches. I keep planning projects on my loom buut havent gotten to it yet.  I have to say, though, that my closets and drawers are very clean and Amvets was very happy last week!

I have neuropathy.  It feels like someone is always squeezing my 2nd and 3rd toes--hate it.

Good for you for getting out and volunteering, Merilee!  That's awesome.  And you weave?!  Oh so jealous!  I knit one hat for my son when he was born--and a blanket that went horribly wrong.  Maybe someday I'll pick it up again.  I really enjoyed it.

Merilee--yes, the leaves are just starting to turn now--LOVE it--but I had to inform hubby that doubted I'd be leave blowing much this year.  After the BMX, Ican't IMAGINE the vibration of that thing!  Ouch!

Hi artiecat, i'm on no 11 of 30 rads, so far so good. Just a little bit of tenderness in one spot. The worst part is once a week they do xrays and realignments. Takes about half an hour instead of the normal tem minutes.

    Best wishes to you all

Articat- yes I have neuropthy in my feet, makes them feel like stubs not platforms. Also in my right arm and it makes me drop things all the time.

Every time I went under the  radiation machine, I just pictured healing light in my head. It helped alot.

Arti- as far as work, I don't miss the stress. Saw one of my ex-clients on tv Crime Stoppers last night and another one made the news for making threats from prison to get people outside of it, Fun guys right? Both dads of my little ones that were on my case load. I won't be going back there.

Awe...People can be so sweet. I have had a few woman approach me and make a joke about having the same haircut as me once. Then we share a knowing grin.

Hi all - I've been working like a crazy person and started my rads  - did #11 today of 33. Looks like BernieEllen and I are on the same page. Thought of you all often. I'm thinking you are right Merilee and I'm probably going to stay flat chested except when I wear my prostheses. I'm happy in my own skin just where its at, thank you very much! I love my new hair, its very very salt and pepper and wavy. I will keep it short like this, I love it and I wouldn't have ever been brave enough to cut it this short. So now I know that its a style that fits me. Best to all. God Bless and hugs to everyone

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, MERILEE!!! Every birthday will be a treasure from now on, eh? I hope you have a good day!

Bernie Ellen -- sorry to hear about having to get new teeth. I'm getting a little worried because my gums and teeth have been really sore lately. I know I need to do something about it, but I'm scared. I'm even afraid to use our Water Pik-type machine because I'm afraid of bleeding now that I've had the DVT and am on blood thinners. Always something.......

Many more, Merilee!!!  Happy birthday!  (I know--I've SWORN never to complain about a birthday again!)

Bernie--you'll be a totally new woman!  I hate my teeth.  I wanted them capped years ago when I was a kid, but my dentist said I was too young--now too poor!  LOL.  Someday I'll have some paid-for pearly whites.

My hair's coming in quite grey, but then I'm losing it again this week on this round of AC.  So, oh well!  I'll be bald for Halloween too!  :)

Happy birthday Merilee, i'll be 52 on the 23rd

I only got married 2 years ago on my 50th birthday - we have been together for 17 years now.  Just thought i would share - before i married, long hair, full set off teeth, not too bad looking, wouldn't have cracked the mirror.  This now says to me - is marriage good for you.
