Hives after Rads

I finished 25 rounds and 5 boosts June 22nd. About a week later I started getting hives whenever I went outside or was over heated. 3 months later I stIll get them, although not as severe. I used to be covered with them. Has anyone else had this happen. I could not think of anything else in my diet or meds that would cause them. I am triple negative so I am not on tamoxifen.

I would like to bring this up at my next checkup so I am especially interested to know if this happens to others.

I haven't met anyone else like this!  I finished rads June 6, same problem, not so much raised hives, but an immediate "sunburn" and itching where I could tear my skin off.  As soon as I can cool down, it goes away.

I have discussed this with my MO.  She said it can be a side effect from chemo as well. Not sure if you had chemo?  She said she has another patient with same symptoms that won't leave her house.

I thought I was going a bit crazy for a while! lol.

Please let me know what you learn about this.

Hi Sagina, I had a very small tumor and goods margins so ONC and I determined chemo risks outweighed the marginal benefit.

Hi,  I had chemo and rads with boosts. I remember I would also itch all over when I got warm or took a hot bath. I did not get hives or look like I had a sunburn. It would go away when I cooled off. It finally went away. I think it took several weeks.  SharonH

Debbie-there are 2 different after rads threads.one I started in Feb.there is lots of info there and all the sistas are quite helpful.if its a S/E one of the sistas had/have it.

Then there is a newer one.dont now how much info there is on that one as these sistas just finished the rads.

Why dont you try one or both.Im sure you will get the answer you are lookin for.If by chance you have any questions after that PM me and I will get you any info you need.

    I wish you the best...It does get better.huggggggggs K

Grannydukes, quite frankly I prefer not to go through the thread you started and the 2000 posts to get an answer on what might be a very specific problem. I'm sure you can understand my choice to start my own thread and get feedback from those in a similar situation. If you don't have personal experience with this than ignore my comments.

Thanks but no thanks on PM as well but I appreciate the well wishes.

Its been 2 1/2  years since my radation on the left breast and about every 3- 6 months it breaks out in quarter to 50 cent size itchy hives.  I just use an anti itch cortozone cream on them  they last for about 3 days. I never discussed this with the dr, just figured it is an after effect.
